Love Wall Hanging

Lovewallhanging

Paul Smith has given the familiar “Love” motif a makeover for this wall hanging designed for The Rug Company.

Each letter is decorated with a different pattern including rainbow stripes, union jack and flowers. It measures 99 cm by 99 cm and is made from 80% hand spun wool and 10% canvas wool.

No two will be exactly the same as they are handmade, and of course being handmade also means that they come with a hefty price tag. The Love Wall Hanging costs £795 and can be ordered online from the Paul Smith website.

Electra Holiday Cruiser bicycle for Gap

Gap_electra

We liked the Electra Alexander Girard bike very much – and we’re equally impressed with the Electra Holiday Cruiser bicycle for Gap.

It’s available for both adults and children, both featuring that distinctive retro Electra look, a lightweight aluminium frame, coaster brakes and of course, that bold blue argyle design and matching blue seat.

Gap (strangely) doesn’t have a UK website, so we’re guessing this is US only, unless you know better. Our US readers can pick up the child’s version for $299 and the adult version for $499. And if you see it in the UK, please let us know.

Michael Fish Retro Weather fridge magnets

Fish_weather

All those computer-generated graphics just don’t cut it as much as the old school weather forecasts – where the forecaster earned his (or her) corn by slapping sticky icons on a map. Something you can now do in the comfort of your own home with the Michael Fish Retro Weather fridge magnets.

Yes, fronted by the BBC’s most famous weatherman, the kit offers you an endless range of weather images (and one of Michael himself) to create your own map – rain, wind, snow, thunder, temperature – you name it they’re all here. And if you fancied the job as a kid, it’s a dream come true.

A cheap dream too, with the 40+ magnets selling for £7.95.

Adidas Tokio trainers return in white and blue

Adidas_tokio

Another 1960s trainer returns alongside the Italia – the Adidas Tokio.

Originally dating from 1964 and designed as a running shoe, the Tokio is more about style than sport these days. The last time we saw it was in red and white, this time it’s in white with blue detailing and a  it of off-white suede, the laces still that distinctive ‘archival’ slim variety.

Available on pre-order, you can bag a pair for £79.
