Offside – the table football coffee table

Offside

Looking to liven up the TV ad breaks? You need the Offside coffee table.

As the name suggests, this is a coffee table…with table football. Yes, beneath that solid oak and glass structure is a fully-functioning footie table, complete with  wooden players, goals, scoreboard, steel handles and a mirrored pitch. Just drop in the ball and you’re away.

And when the TV livens up again, it’s back as a coffee table, with plenty of surface area for your food, drinks and magazines. Not the cheapest coffee table you’ll see at £1,495, but certainly the most fun.

Putting aside reservations about the somewhat silly pun name, the U Cube Table by My Maison is a distinctive but affordable side table.

Made from acrylic, it is available in red or smoky brown, the latter having a particularly 1970s look to it. They have been designed so that they can be stacked or used for storage as well.

Joe Colombo-inspired Colombo Two Phone heads to Argos

Colombo_white

Well, we first got told it was exclusive to Selfridges, then we saw it at selected online retailers – and now the Joe Colombo-inspired Colombo Phone (officially the Colombo Two) is on the high street at Argos. And indeed online at its site.

We’ve only spotted the white one so far (no coral), but it might be worth inquiring if your colour choice is the distinctive orange. The phone is being sold as a ‘triple pack’ at Argos for £69.99 – and if you want three of them, that’s quite a good deal, with the double pack widely selling at £59.99 elsewhere and a single at £39.99. Note that you only need once phone socket, no matter how many you buy.

We have covered the phone in detail in the past, so if you want to know more, you can find out all about it here.
