Thatcher Cushion

Thatchercushion

This website is not about politics, so I will refrain from sharing my thoughts on Margaret Thatcher here, but suffice to say I’m wondering if we are really ready for the Thatcher Cushion?

Made from a blend of cotton and linen with faux leather back, the cushion features a framed image of Thatcher against a punk-style Union Jack background. It is available in two sizes, the large one being 65cm squared and the small one 35cm squared. They cost £69.99 and £32.99 respectively.

It is available to buy from England at Home. Give it pride of place on your sofa or sit on it depending on your political persuasion.

Dover Street Market x Gloverall Monty – bright and bold classic duffle coat

Gloverall_colour

Gloverall has been making duffle coats for as long as anyone can remember – and producing the Monty (named after avid wearer Field Marshall Montgomery) since the days of the second world war. Well, it’s time for a makeover – with the Dover Street Market x Gloverall Monty duffle coat.

The range is exclusive to Dover Street Market, offering an all-new colour range of coats for men and women, although some colours obviously suit certain sexes more. Most of the detailing is the same as the original duffle (aside from a few contrast details) and still made from the same 90% wool and 10% polyamide mix.

The price is a little bit higher though at £310, but you might want to view that as an investment – these coats last for years. See the website for the full colour range.

Alife Court Cup – Stan Smith-style trainers

Alife_stan

US street label Alife has gone back to the past for inspiration for its latest shoe – these Alife Court Cup trainers.

Based almost exactly on the classic 1971 Adidas Stan Smith, but with a few obvious changes. The colour is certainly one, this version offered in a bold black, red and yellow, along with the Alife logo on the tongue and inside and the Alife tag attached.

You can pick them up (and stand out from the crowd) now for 125 Euros.

Since the 1930s, every secret agent of note has been packing a Minox spy camera, essential for taking snaps of those secret documents or capturing the most wanted on film. And this era is no exception, with the company about to launch its first digital version – the Minox DSC.
