Luc Gensollen 60s-style chandelier

Luc
Last year we featured the very cool Cubik table lamp by Luc Gensollen for Ligne Roset. And as it was so popular, the designer has forwarded over a preview of his latest work – the Luc Gensollen 60s-style chandelier.

That may not be the final name, this is hot off the press. It’s a stunning piece of lighting, very much in the ‘sputnik’ style and not a million miles away from the Pistillo Lamp we featured last week. It’s made of eglomised glass on a nickled brass structure – 12 lights in total each one able rotate upside-down.

It’s going to be sold exclusively through Charles of Paris – no price available as yet.

Thanks to the recent Sienna Miller hit, Factory Girl, Edie Sedgwick is more of a household name than ever. The stunning face of ’60s New York was immortalized in Andy Warhol’s films, created especially for her.

This great t-shirt from Shirt Hunt takes the poster image from one such film, Ciao! Manhattan, and creates a great piece of pop art clothing.

The shirt is available from youth sizes to XL, and costs just $18.95.

Posh Noodle – Harrods launches the luxury Pot Noodle

Harrods_noodle

In 1977, Golden Wonder brought the ‘noodles in a cup’ concept to the UK in the form of the Pot Noodle. And it’s been a staple food for students and anyone short of money ever since. Until now that is.

Yes, in 2008, the Pot Noodle has become a luxury food, with Harrods launching the Posh Noodle. This is no ordinary snack – just 100 of these Poulet et Champignon-flavoured snacks will be made, each one sold in a hand-flocked and gold-leafed pot, complete with your very own fork and table linen. And despite the name, it’s said to be suitable for vegetarians.

Obviously that means a higher price tag, with this future collectable selling for £29.95 – but all proceeds will go to charity. We haven’t had a confirmed date of sale as yet.

Ford set to bring back the Capri?

Fordcapri

It’s coming up to the 40th anniversary of the Ford Capri – and it could see the return of this British 70s classic.

That’s according to German magazine AutoBild, which claims a modern Capri will appear next year, going into production in 2012. Details (as you might expect) are sketchy – but it’s said to be larger than the (underrated) Ford Puma, but smaller than the Cougar, offering decent space for both people and luggage. It’s also going to have a range of engines, likely based on the ones used for the Ford Focus.

But the big question is obviously whether Ford will go down the retro route with the looks or whether it’ll look like all the other boxes on wheels currently being offered by the company. We live in hope.
