Hollie Cord Shorts from Boohoo

Boohooshorts

Cord is one of few retro fabrics that has never quite left the shop floor, mostly taking the shape of flared trousers and even home furnishings. That said, it's never quite lost its sixties and seventies look, especially in pieces like these Hollie Cord Shorts from Boohoo.

The cut of the shorts adds to the vintage look, with a high waist, loose fitting legs and a rolled hem. The colour choices, from stone to black, keep the seventies look going, especially when paired with opaque tights and stacked platform wedges.

Get them online from Boohoo now for just £15.

Leather Fisherman’s Vest by Shakuhachi

Shakuhachivest

One of the lesser seen retro trends in mainstream fashion is glam and punk rock, for obvious reasons thanks to the seventies scene's penchant for the occasionally ridiculous. But with a resurgance in the decade's chick-rocker style coming up, more wearable items are making their way onto the rails.

With the new Runaways biopic hitting screens, items like this Leather Vest by designer house Shakuhachi are clearly taking inspiration from the style of Joan Jett and her peers. While it's not easy to pull off a style like this, classic black leather makes this vest a more wearable option for those of us who want to take the look offstage.

Get it now from Urban Outfitters UK for £235, from their boutique lines.

Tag Heuer Monaco Vintage Chronograph reissue

Tag

First produced back in 1969 in honour of the Monaco Grand Prix and famously worn by Steve McQueen 'back in the day', the Monaco is back once more, this time as the Tag Heuer Monaco Vintage Chronograph.

Apparently, this latest version is based on one of the original Monaco designs, one with the original Tag-free Heuer logo, grey dial, a charcoal grey stainless steel case and of course, the microrotor for automatic rewinding.

The watch will be available in a limited run of 1,860 pieces and goes on sale soon, priced around the £3,200 mark. If you don't like the looks, you can always head to Bamford, which offers a bespoke version.
