eBay watch: 1970s Bodet BT630 flip wall clock

Flip

This kind of thing is being remade with a modern twist, but you can't beat an original – like the Bodet BT630 flip wall clock.

A French wall clock from the 1970s, it's reminiscent of the Gino Valle 1960s clocks, offering up a brown case, large flip numbers for the time and an automated date function too. But there's a large 'but'…

The clock was a 'slave' to a 'master' clock, not designed to work alone. However, you can buy a part on eBay to get it to work alone. Which is probably why it's only selling for £1.20 right now. But if you get it and get it working alone, it could prove a very shrewd investment.

Retro Rooms: Laur & Didi Catinas in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Rom1

We are always pleased to hear of people from around the world enjoying our site and even more so when you send us photos for a Retro Rooms feature. Like Laur & Didi Catinas in Cluj-Napoca, which you'll find in Romania.

Laur & Didi are obviously fans of the 1970s going by the living room above, not least with the bold feature wallpaper. But check out over the page for a quirky bedroom and something more classic when it comes to the bathroom. Good work.

Thanks to Laur & Didi and if you want to send us photos, please do. And if you already have, we're working through them now, so expect the photos to be online very soon.

Glastonbury 1970 t-shirt available at BME

Glasto

We're obviously not at the Glastonbury Festival right now. Instead, we're digging out loads more retro gear, like this Glastonbury 1970 t-shirt, which is available at BME.

In the days of this shirt, it was £1 in, bands were more interesting (The Kinks and the Amazing Blondel to name two) and no doubt there was plenty of free love, no security and not a hint of a TV crew to capture you doing something embarrassing.

The t-shirt is based on the original poster for the event and is available in various sizes for £30. Even better? You don't have to get sun stroke to get one.

Nike Allcourt Low Vintage trainers reissued

Nike1

Wimbledon is now underway, so the perfect time to feature a reissued tennis shoe – the Nike Allcourt Low Vintage trainers.

First seen in 1975, they were initially pitched as a lightweight all-round shoe for tennis as well as squash and handball. This 'new' Vintage version is probably more of a casual shoe than a sports shoe, offering in white with black detailing with a canvas upper, a towelled lining and pure white vulcanised midsole.

All of that is yours for £49.99.

eBay watch: Unused 1970s Philips 133 portable record player

Philips

A real bargain on eBay right now – this unused 1970s Philips 133 portable record player.

Dating back to the 1970s, it is indeed described as 'mint condition' and 'real museum quality', so we can presume this is a pretty decent model being offered. Features include battery or mains power, a 70s orange colour scheme, 33/45/78 speeds and a speaker that doubles as a case, complete with integrated handle.

All of that right now for just £1. Yes, you read that right.
