eBay watch: 1972 Fiat 500

Fiat500

It's back on the market in a modern form, but nothing compares to the charm of an original Fiat 500. This being a particularly fine example.

Dating back to 1972 and with just under 53,000 miles on the clock (which is nothing), the car has been on the receiving end of plenty of work, including new suspension swinging arms, new brakes, wheel bearings, king pins and bushes, plus new track rods, steering rods and a new sun roof. The interior, thankfully, is still in original condition.

Talking of condition, the seller says the body work in places needs a 'little attention but nothing to affect MOT', so bear that in mind. It's currently on eBay for £3,500.

Julie Print Dress by Boohoo

Juliedaisydress

Light and casual dresses with a retro look are a tricky find from high street stores, with structured pieces taking the forefront of vintage inspired fashion. This Julie Daisy Dot Dress by Boohoo is a great alternative for warmer weather, without compromising the retro appeal.

The shirt dress is a classic style that never loses its roots, with this version keeping it simple and chic. The daisy print gives a cutesy sixties chic, while darker dotted trim and a belt adds some femininity. The light and flattering fabric keeps this from looking too structured, while keeping the shirted style sharp.

eBay watch: 1970s Stefano Cevoli Meridiana lamps

Merid

Not one, but two pieces of stunning space age design from the 1970s up for grabs on eBay – a pair of Stefano Cevoli Meridiana lamps.

Perfect for adding that Space 1999 touch to your home, both lamps were made in Italy in the 70s, offering up that long, white 'wire-like' stem and matching base and shade in a 'cramy white', finished off with black detailing and a black cord with the on/off switch.

Both lamps stand around 22 inches tall and are said to be 'cosmetically flawless' as well as being in working order. Sold out of the US, but shipping worldwide, the current price is a very tempting $99.99 (around £68.68) for the pair, which makes them something of a bargain.

eBay watch: 1970s fold-out desk lamp

Lamp

Not a great deal of detail in the description, but we like the look and the price of this 1970s fold-out desk lamp.

Originated from and sold out of Germany, the lamp screams the decade and has a rather interesting trick up its sleeve – the ability to fold down when not in use, extending when required.

The manufacturer is unknown, the condition is 'good' and the price is a Buy It Now of £39 or an offer. Seems well worth that.

Nico Sunglasses by Tom Ford

Nico

Oversized sunglasses are everywhere you turn in recent years, from Primark to the catwalk brands. While the designer pricetags are not for all of us, investment in a timeless accessory is often easy to excuse. These Nico Sunglasses by Tom Ford certainly lean enough on vintage inspiration to last year after year, without falling for boring design points.

The angular design makes this pair stand out, without compromising the sixties/seventies appeal of the pair. Shown here in a tortoiseshell colour design, the gradient shading of the lenses, too, perfectly evokes a retro chic.
