Tropical leaf salad serveware from Heal’s
Want to be a retro hostess with the mostest? You may want to consider investing in this Tropical leaf salad serveware from Heal's.
A piece of kitsch, this green acrylic set comprises a large plate or a salad bowl and servers, both in the shape of a large tropical leaf. The shape is reminiscent of the ceramic Carlton ware leaf dish which was produced in the late 1940s into the 1950s but the use of the material creates something of a 70s feel.
Stock up now ahead of the summer – the plates are £4 each, while the salad bowl and servers cost £25.

Vasa 1960s-style acrylic sculptures
Born in the 1960s, but you can still pick up a distinctive Vasa sculpture for your home today.
Vasa (or Vasa Mihich if you want a full name) is an internationally-known sculptor specialising in 'the three dimensional interactions of light and colour'. In the 60s, Vasa developed techniques for working with cast laminated acrylic forms, which has led to these prism-like structures still available to buy.
The Triangle above is just one example, signed and dated by the artist, with each one offering up colours unique to that piece. If you want to add a psychedelic twist to your home, prices start at £188.
