Summer of Love Duvet Cover

La Redoute is already promoting its Autumn Winter 2011 collection which includes this Summer of Love Duvet Cover.

Made from 100% cotton, the cover has a brown background printed with the words “peace” and “love” in retro typefaces, along with hearts, stars and CND signs. The catalogue website claims it is a tribute to the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco, but then gets things a bit wrong by mentioning the 1970s, by which time the Summer of Love had definitely ended. The duvet cover is available in three sizes (140cm, 200cm or 240cm) which are priced £27, £39 and £55 respectively. A matching flat sheet is also available.

Marks and Spencer ‘Vintage’ flower throw

Though it's definitely still Winter out there, Spring is beginning to filter into shops, in the form of new collections at least. Marks and Spencer's new collection includes some bright florals, including this 'vintage' flower throw. 

Decorated with clusters of blooms, though not vintage, it's definitely got a homely feel and could help make a cosy and stylish bedroom for generations to come. Made from cotton with a polyester fill, this throw (and the rest of the accompany collection) will be perfect for welcoming Spring when it finally does come.

We've featured several of the colourful re-issues of Graziela Preiser's children's designs. Now one of her most popular designs has been rereleased, in the form of this Apple bedding.

Dating to the 1970s, the design featuring a repeating design of red and yellow apples. To add an extra touch of sweetness, several of the apples are inserted with a heart logo. The pattern has been released on a cot duvet set and a single duvet set and is also available in the mouth-watering colour combination of blue and green. 

The cot duvet set costs 45.50 euros while the single duvet set costs 59.50 euros.

Retro leaves duvet

It was only yesterday that we showed you the Orla Kiely book, the latest addition to her range. With such success, it's hardly surprising that high street alternatives that echo her style are available. A case in point is this retro leaves duvet from Argos. 

Argos isn't normally the first place you'd associate with retro style, but this duvet features a pleasant green and brown design of paired leaves, with a passing resemblance to Kiely's stem pattern. Not the time to be snobby about thread or tog count, the set is made from a polyester and cotton mix. 

Fantastic value though at £13.99 for a two pillowcase and king sized duvet set.
