It was only yesterday that we showed you the Orla Kiely book, the latest addition to her range. With such success, it's hardly surprising that high street alternatives that echo her style are available. A case in point is this retro leaves duvet from Argos. 

Argos isn't normally the first place you'd associate with retro style, but this duvet features a pleasant green and brown design of paired leaves, with a passing resemblance to Kiely's stem pattern. Not the time to be snobby about thread or tog count, the set is made from a polyester and cotton mix. 

Fantastic value though at £13.99 for a two pillowcase and king sized duvet set.

The simple shape harks back to classic Scandinavian design. At 45cm high, each cabinet is small back perfectly formed – handmade and with one sliding drawer, topped off with a ball shaped handle.

Grab yourself a high street bargain with a retro look with the Ulsberg bedside table from Ikea. 

Although this design is intended for use in the bedroom, it's got a similar feel to this genuine 50s plant stand we featured a few weeks back. And, while you could probably also use this one for a plant, there's plenty of space for an alarm clock, reading matter and other bedside essentials too. 

The table is available either in white and frosted glass or, for the more 50s look pictured, in dark grey and frosted glass.

Orla Kiely retro-style multi rhododendron print bed linen

We're obviously huge fans of Orla Kiely on this site and here's another wonderful new design: the multi rhododendron print bed linen. The bold retro floral pattern only arrived into stock yesterday and its colours would look great in a mid-century inspired bedroom, as shown in the image. 

The bedlinen is made from 100% cotton percale. Prices range from £49 for a single duvet cover up to £79 for a super king size double. Pillowcases begin at £23.50. Graham and Green manage to do glamorous retro furniture very well as evident in this 1950s influenced mirrored dressing table from their autumn collection. With its mirrored surfaces, it looks the ideal place for any aspirational Hollywood star to do their maquillage or perhaps it could be used as a desk to answer fan letters.
