Polaroid 600 One camera by the Impossible Project now available

Polaroid
Last year we mentioned that the classic Polaroid camera was making a comeback and indeed, it now has – as the Polaroid 600 One camera by the Impossible Project.

'Brand new and pimped to rock your analog world' says the maker, which is offering a limited edition designed by Paul Giambarba, complete with a pack of Polaroid 600 film to get you going with those instant snaps. Great packaging too, should you be pondering it for a gift. On the technical side, there's a focus free lens, built-in flash with auto-flash feature and a digital LCD display picture count.

The price is £135. But be quick, this is a limited reissue.

Thomas Paul Luddite cases

Luddite

The Thomas Paul Luddite cases are the perfect gift for those who have trouble grappling with the changing technologies of the twenty-first century. Named of course after the nineteenth century group who tried to prevent the changes brought by the industrial revolution, they are heavy weight cotton bags that have been hand screen printed with relics of past technology.

So for example, on the left of the image above, is a case showing a gramophone: perfect for carrying around a MP3 player. The typewriter is on a laptop sleeve and the camera is shown on the case for the slightly more portable version that exists today. You can have fun guessing what is shown on the phone, cosmetics and pencil cases.

Prices vary. The MP3 pouch and camera case are both $24, while the laptop sleeve costs $50.

Instant photo frame: display your pictures like polaroids

Polaroid frame

The instant photo frame is an easy way to copy the look of the polaroid photograph. Made from acrylic plastic, it's a white frame that fits around your image. Each frame comes as laser cut flat packaging, marked to help you trim your photograph to fit the frame. A nice touch is that comments can be written across the bottom of the frame in a dry wipe marker

It's not the most complex idea or sophisticated looking frame but for $10 does that matter?
