eBay watch: 1972 Fiat 500L car

Fiat500

We do like the modern version, but you can't beat the original – like this 1972 Fiat 500L.

It's a right-hand drive with just over 55,000 on the clock, the current (second) owner selling as he or she is moving abroad. Essentially, it's a well-maintained car, described as 'well kept and garaged' and with some improvements (like a synchro gearbox added by previous owner), but by and large in original condition, as the images on the listing show.

There's a hefty list of recent replacements on the listing, plus a list of things that might need attending to, indicating that it's an ongoing project, should you need a hobby. But on the plus side, this is one of the cheaper 500s on eBay right now, with the price currently at £1,000.

eBay watch: 1970 Volkswagen Type 2 Camper Van

Vw

We see a lot of VW vans on eBay, but often, they are either ridiculously expensive or not in particularly good condition. This 1970 Volkswagen Type 2 Camper Van is on the right side of both of those concerns.

It's had 'extensive restoration, pretty much everything from the exterior to the doors and wheels through to a refresh of the original Devon interior. Read the description for all the detail – it's certainly wide ranging. There's even a few modern essentials squeezed in too – like a CD player with new in-door speakers and a 15-inch pull-down Freeview TV.

'Looks and drives superb' claims the seller. If you want it in your life, the bidding right now is at £2,000. Lots more images on the listing too.

eBay watch: 1975 Volkswagen Beetle convertible

Beetle

Looking for a summer runaround? This 1975 Volkswagen Beetle convertible should be just the thing when the sun starts to shine.

Taxed and tested, the 1600cc Beetle isn't an original convertible, it's been converted sometime in its past. But it been restored pretty well, most recently a new stereo and a full set of tyres. What we don't know is the mileage, with 11 previous owners it could be high.

But on the plus side, this isn't the most expensive car in the world, with bidding at £1,700 and a 'buy it now' of £2,000. For a good runner (or what claims to be), that's certainly an affordable classic. More images on the listing.

eBay watch: 1963 Hillman Super Minx Convertible

Hillman

Some early 60s style available on eBay right now – this 1963 Hillman Super Minx Convertible.

Or rather, a pair of them. One is ready to go and 'looks good', with some bodywork repaired and a full respray, as well as having a Holbay engine and RoStyle wheels. It's said to run 'ok', but does need more work, both mechanically and cosmetically.

The second care is 'useable', but ideally suited to be used for spares. Think of it as a freebie if you like. Check out the listing for more images (especially of the stylish interior) and if you like it, both cars are currently at a combined price of £920 right now.
