If your penchant for retro 50s style is more tailoring-centric than full skirts and petticoats, you may wish to take a gander at this Fanfare jacket from J Crew.

Icon blackboards from Ghost Furniture
We've previously featured the vintage blackboards of Ghost Furniture. They've given a twist to their designs with this new range of Icon blackboards.
The blackboards are each decorated with the silhouette of an iconic star. So you've got Twiggy sat in the corner of the frame that's pictured above, or you could pick Marilyn with skirt blowing up taken from The Seven Year Itch. Other designs feature Madonna, Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel, surely meaning there is one for any preference of style.
Each blackboard is a unique piece, so prices vary. As an indication the Twiggy blackboard is being sold for £125.

Fashion for Jewels: 100 Years of Styles and Icons
If you're a book loving fan of jewellery, it's been a very good week for you here on the site. Earlier this week we showed you Vintage Jewellery and now it's the turn of Fashion for Jewels: 100 Years of Styles and Icons.
The book is written by Carol Woolton, the jewellery editor of British Vogue, so she knows what she's talking about when discussing stylish gems. The book also makes use of Conde Nast's vast picture library to provide some luscious imagery and to illustrate famous jewellery wearers such as Coco Chanel and Jackie O or prestige companies like Boucheron, Van Clef & Arpels.
It's a lot cheaper than a precious necklace too, priced at a very reasonable £25, though it's currently available for £16.23 from Amazon.
Listia Monochrome Dress from Malene Birger
If yu're looking for a sixties look that reaches beyond the Swinging London scene, there's few more recognisably classic than Chanel inspired pieces. This Listia Contrast Trim Dress by Malene Birger takes instantly recognisable queues from the design house's sixties fare, resulting in a dress that's truly timeless.
The use of monochrome colours is subtle and understated, using black trim to accent the simplicity of structure. The elegance of luxury fabrics and flattering cut are left to shine, just as Coco would have had it.
It's available online in the UK from My Wardrobe for £162.
60s Chanel-style suit at Matalan
I'm guessing Matalan isn't the first place you would look for some retro style, but this dress and jacket just might fit the bill – and for very little money too.
Undoubtedly inspired by 1960s Chanel, it's a slinline tweed check shift-style dress, which is available on its own or with the short jacket in the same cloth, complete with twin pocket detailing.
Stock online seems a little thin, so you might want to check out your local store. Cheap enough at £28 for the jacket and £20 for the dress if you do find one though.
