eBay watch: 1960s Stelton Cylinda Line Coffee Set by Arne Jacobsen

Cylinda

A 60s classic and as it stands, this Stelton Cylinda Line Coffee Set is a real giveaway.

Designed by Arne Jacobsen back in 1967 and still in production today, this particular set is described as 'old stock and genuinely unused', although it's worth noting that the tray and spoon are not Stelton, 'but the service was retailed in this way'.

Even so, this is an absolute bargain at its current £5.50 price. Check online for the price of the pieces new, that should show how much of a steal it really is.

Beachhutmug

Beach Huts have become a symbol of the quintessential British holiday, but images of them can either take on a melancholic air of a seaside town in decline or a cheerful reminder of happy summer holidays. Firmly in the latter jolly category are these Beach Hut Mugs.

The fine bone china mug is decorated with a row of three stripey huts, in a choice of dark blue, pink, red or pale blue. The mugs are sold individually so you can mix n match or co-ordinate as you like.

Nick Munro cafetiere set for Linley

Cafetiere_Munro

Does an Art Deco-style coffee set by Nick Munro sound familiar? Well, that would be because we featured his Geo coffee set for John Lewis a little while back. That had the advantage of good looks and a high-street price but if you fancy a deluxe version with similar aesthetic, take a look at this cafetiere set he's designed for Linley.

The set contains a cafetiere, cream jug and a sugar bowl all made from sleek pewter. Rosewood handles complement the design. The whole set is presented on a rosewood tray.

As you may have guessed, this set doesn't come cheap at £975. However, it is a classic and should last you through many happy and stylish cups of coffee.

Stig Lindberg Aster porcelain

GustavRedAster

You'll probably recognise Stig Lindberg's Bersa porcelain design with its distinctive leaf motif. However, Gustavsberg also have reissued another of Lindberg's works from the 1970s, the Aster design.

Looking equally as Scandinavian cool, the cup features a large floral pattern in either red or blue against white. And, like the Bersa, it doesn't come cheap either. A coffee cup will set you back the equivalent of  $80.
