Picasso cushion collection at the Conran Shop
Coming next month to the Conran Shop is the new Picasso cushion collection, a range that has been developed exclusively for the Conran Shop, in association with the Picasso Foundation.
The latest cushions feature three different pieces of the great man's artwork – Matador (1970), Portrait of a woman with a hat (1962) and Head of the Woman (1962). All have been created by specialist craftsmen at a mill outside Paris, the cushions combining the traditions of tapestry with art that is anything but traditional.
All are available from September for £69 each. if you can't wait that long, the original collection of three designs is still available online for the same price.
Ercol plank table from The Conran Shop
We've highlighted The Conran Shop's Well Considered range before, intended to be a more affordable line of products. This 1950s designed plank table is now available as part of the range.
This table was actually designed back in 1956 by Lucian R. Ercolani and is still manufactured by Ercol. It's a very simple design with that plank-like elm top and splayed beech legs which fits six people. Available in three colours: take your pick from the natural look or a more striking black or red.
It's priced at – while not budget, a more affordable than your average Conran Shop item – £595.

Barton furniture collection by Terence Conran for The Conran Shop
The Conran Shop's new Barton furniture collection has some great British design names behind it: it was designed by Terence Conran and manufactured by Ercol.
The seven piece collection is made up of tables and stylish storage, all made from solid oak. As you might expect from the names involved, it's got a fairly classic look, with a nod to the mid-century, as shown in the coffee table pictured.
Prices start at £595 for nesting tables and go up to £2995 for an armoire. The table pictured costs £650.

100 years of Michelin House
If you are London based, you may want to check out some of the events designed to celebrated 100 years of Michelin House.
This distinctive building, on the corner of Fulham Road, was commissioned by the Michelin company as their first British HQ. They moved out in 1985 when it was bought by Terence Conran and Paul Hamlyn. The building now hosts the Conran Shop as well as the Bibendum oyster bar and remains as architecturally interesting as ever, decorated with stained glass, ornate tiles and combining a curious mixture of Art Nouveau and Art Deco influences.
Currently the front of the shop and a small display is devoted to the building's history, including some archive photographs and original advertising posters. As part of the celebrations, six of these iconic pieces of Michelin advertising, selected from their historic archive, have been re-issued by the Conran Shop on canvas – including the distinctive design above.
Unfortunately the prints are currently available in store only but prices start at £99 for a 72 x 52cm print.
