Treasury cushions and prints

Treasury cushion

Treasury specialise in attractive cushions and prints that feature some of your favourite twentieth-century design icons.

The designs are the work of Lucia Golding and the image above showing the Hans Wegner Wishbone chair on the cushion is typical of her style: silhouettes of the objects are hand screen-printed against subtle shades of greens or blue.

The cushions cost £34 while the prints are about £30-35.

Darling Clementine and Ferm Living Marionette cushions

DCforFermLiving

Back last year we showed you some of Darling Clementine's 70s cards and notebooks. The company has now teamed up with another Retro To Go favourite Ferm Living to introduce some of their distinctive artwork into the home with the Marionette cushions

The cushions feature four of their typically colourful characters: Frank Fox, Elle Elephant, Posy Panda and, the one with the best name, Aristo Katt. Although they are aimed at kids, I reckon a couple could sneak a few into your living room quite happily too.

The cushions cost 29.95 Euros each.

Dupenny burlesque cushions

Burlesque-cushion-gigi

Do you remember Dupenny's burlesque wallpaper, featuring vintage-styled dancing beauties? Well, some of the girls from that paper get to star in their own right, with these burlesque cushions

Choose from three designs: Peaches, Ophelia or Gigi (who is shown). Each is hand-printed onto silk to create an opulent, boudoir feel, further enhanced by the red backing to the cushion.

As well as being pretty, these ladies will also cost you a pretty penny, at £65 each. That's still cheaper than the original wallpaper though which costs £90 a roll.

Michelle Mason Piccadilly Circus cushion

Piccadilly_cushion

We've previously featured Michelle Mason's collaboration with London Transport. Her new cushion collection also draws inspiration from the capital and includes this charming Piccadilly Circus cushion

Inspired by old postcards, the design shows a very stylised view of Piccadilly Circus (if only there was that little traffic!), including Eros and the famous advertising hoardings. There's even a couple of classic Routemaster buses to be seen.

One of the other cushions features Columbia flower market, while the third shows a more generalised London street scene. All the designs are printed onto cotton satin and cost £45 each.

Angie Lewin Hedgerow fabric new at St Jude’s

Hedgerow Lewin

New to St Jude's gallery is this Hedgerow fabric designed by Angie Lewin. We've featured a umber of St Jude's fabrics before such as Alice Stevenson's Treehouse design or their Kensal Rise collaboration with Old Town. Like those two designs, Hedgerow has a very British retro aesthetic, using a 1950s-style depiction of natural forms.

Angry Children cushions featuring 60s and 70s architecture

Angry Children cushions

If you are a regular reader of this site, you'll be well aware of the work of People Will Always Need Plates. For a new twist on the architecture on homeware theme, how about their German equivalent in the form of these Angry Children cushions featuring 60s and 70s Berlin buildings?

The Angry Children range is the work of s.wert designs and is so-called because they are angry about building fronts that have disappeared or are about to disappear. For example, the cushion on the right shows Ahronblatt, or 'Mapleleaf' building: built in East Berlin between 1970-3 and demolished in 2001.

There are seven different designs to choose from, all featuring buildings dating from the sixties and seventies, including the Haus der Statistik design shown on the left. Each cushion cover costs 33 euros.
