By Graziela limited edition heart cushions and fabric

Love heart cushions

Give a little love this Christmas with this limited re-issue of By Graziela's heart pattern. Regular readers will know what fans we are of Graziela Preiser's colourful designs. This heart pattern dates from 1976 and looks as appealing as it must have done back then. It's being sold as cushions or, for the more craftily minded, as fabric in bright pink, red or orange colourways.

The cushions are for sale for £34 each while the fabric costs £21 per metre. But if you're interested you need to hurry as only 150 metres of each colour have been printed.

I Love London Routemaster cushion

I love London routemaster

With all the nostalgic spirit that's prevalent home wares at the moment, it was surely only a matter of time before the beloved and much missed Routemaster bus made its way onto a cushion. The bus is appliquéd onto the front, along with the motto 'I Love London'. To keep it even more fashionable, the 'O' of 'Love' is filled with a union jack design.

Cushions are also available with the slogan plus the motif of either a taxi or grenadier guards. All are made from the heavy duty looking wool with blanket stitched edges. It's certainly not the cheapest way to remember a trip to the capital though: for the £94.95 price tag you may prefer to stock up on postcards and 'I heart London' t-shirts.

Rock n Roll Badge cushion

Rock n Roll Badge cushion

What can an ageing music fan do with all the fan badges they've amassed over the years? Why, use them on a Rock n Roll badge cushion of course! This cushion from Pedlars is partially covered with such badges, looks pretty good and saves the badges from gathering dust in a drawer elsewhere. However, seeing as you don't get any choice in the band badges that you're given, perhaps it will save disputes (and some money as well) if you just do it yourself.

If you'd prefer to go for the ready-made option, this large cushion is available in black, red or white and costs £68.95.

Village cushion set

Village cushion

More folk art-inspired goodness with this Village cushion set. The cushions look great individually in an attractively retro yellow and grey colour scheme but also fit together to form the landscape of a village. While some cushions show trees, roads and houses, there are also smaller cushions which feature only show things like a dog or a bird.

The cushions are the work of Rachael Cole, a Brooklyn based art director and illustrator. As they are handmade, they are quite pricey. A full village made of nine pillows costs $525 and individually they range from $145 for a large cushion down to $14 for the smaller animals.

Thomas Paul mid-century inspired Dervish cushion

Dervish_dove

Thomas Paul's latest collection includes this Dervish cushion. Its pattern is influenced by mid-century designs but could fit into many different eras. The dervish of the title suggests the circles could be the skirts of a whirling dervish but they could equally pass as being botanically inspired. The cushions is produced in a soft and subtle range of colours: the cushion above is shown in in 'dove' and it's also available in duck egg, ebony, kiwi and scarlett.

The cushion cover is made from 100% linen with a feather insert and costs £70.
