Cressida Bell Ibis Cushions

  Ibiscushions

British textile and interiors designer, Cressida Bell has an enviable heritage in the arts – her grandmother was the artist Vanessa Bell and Virginia Woolf was her aunt. With such Bloomsbury Group luminaries as family, it is inevitable that hints of their style would be apparent in Cressida’s work, but her designs have enough charm in their own right, as you can see from these Ibis Cushions.

Available in a choice of red or blue, the cushion covers hand printed on 100% linen and feature a quirky vintage-style illustration of the Ibis bird. The cushion covers are sold without pads, but fit a 41cm square cushion. Buy the cushions online directly from Cressida Bell’s website, priced £41 each.

Roddy & Ginger city windows cushions

Roddy and Ginger window

We've featured the folk-inspired style of Roddy & Ginger before but their new city windows cushions are something slightly different from the designers. They've still got a retro feel, though this time have more of a 1950s look.

This is much more abstract than previous pictorial designs such as their folk dance print. The windows mentioned in the product name have been depicted as slightly wonky blocks of solid or cross-hatched colour. Available in the zesty colours of aqua or green, or a more subdued grey, their simple design means they would easily fit into many rooms.

Each cushion costs £24.

Record Cushions by Dark Dog Studio

Record

Dark Dog Studio is the work of designer/maker Hannah Galvin-Horne, producing both fabric and cushions, the latter including these Record Cushions.

The reasoning behind the name is pretty self-explanatory – each of the hnadmade, handprinted cushions features images of vintage vinyl 45s, offered in different sizes and with different colour options for the trim.

The cushions are printed on 100% cotton duck canvas and they come with a 100% duck feather cushion pad. The front of the cushion features the print, while the back of the cushion is dyed in a corresponding colour to the print. All are made to order, so expect a little wait, with prices around the £68 mark.
