Charlatans is a new range of cards from two of our favourites, Darling Clementine designing for nineteenseventythree.

The card range includes 16 new designs that are packed full of retro charm. Each card focuses on a different dubious character, that you could imagine seeing loitering around in prohibition-era America. Pictured is the diva, while there is also the likes of the poet, the cabaret girl, the gypsy and the sailor. There's even a card called Minelli. The illustrations enhance the 1920s/30s feel of the characters. 

Perfect for the loveable rogues in your life, each card costs £2.

Darling Clementine cards
We've featured many of the fun 1970s style Darling Clementine designs before. For their Christmas Collections Card set, they seem to have looked a bit further back in time for inspiration.

The set of six designs are influenced by vintage cards. Each card has a classic Christmas motif – the sweets, the baubles, the sleigh – all topped off with a greeting executed in a 50s font and added gold spray for that festive shimmer.

Darling Clementine Woodland trays

Cast your mind back and you may remember the Woodland cards: a colourful take on the 70s folk trend courtesy of Norway's Darling Clementine. If you thought those cards too good to send to someone else, they are now available in a more permanent form, in the shape of these Woodland trays. 

Darling Clementine have selected four of their favourite designs and applied them onto birch veneer trays of various sizes and shapes. Each design uses the same reduced pink, black and white colour scheme to create a striking look. And, on the folk theme, each image is packed full of owls, foxes, flowers and other natural delights. 

Currently only available to pre-order, the tray pictured will cost you $35.

Darling Clemintine woodland

Darling Clementine have previously been celebrated on this site for their 1970s designs. So it's hardly a surprise that their new Woodland card range references that Seventies trend currently enjoying a revival in fashion, 70s folk. 

The cards are sold in sets of eight different designs. They feature all the motifs you'd expect like birds, flowers and leaves. The use of pinks, oranges and black, rather than the blues and greens you might expect, gives a contemporary edge to their look.

A set of the cards costs $35.

Darling Clementine and Ferm Living Marionette cushions

Back last year we showed you some of Darling Clementine's 70s cards and notebooks. The company has now teamed up with another Retro To Go favourite Ferm Living to introduce some of their distinctive artwork into the home with the Marionette cushions. 

The cushions feature four of their typically colourful characters: Frank Fox, Elle Elephant, Posy Panda and, the one with the best name, Aristo Katt. Although they are aimed at kids, I reckon a couple could sneak a few into your living room quite happily too.
