Marilyn limited edition silkscreen print by Richard Duardo

Mar

He's perhaps best known as a printer, working with the likes of Banksy, Shepard Fairey, David Hockney and Keith Haring in the past. But Richard Duardo is also an artist in his own right – and this Marilyn limited edition silkscreen print is one of his pieces.

The work of the 'West-Coast Warhol' (as he's known) are colourful pop art-style prints of pop culture icons – and they don't get much more iconic than Marilyn Monroe. The print is from a signed limited edition of 100, sized at 37x 24 inches, available framed or unframed.

If you want the unframed version, it sells for £320.

eBay watch: Vintage Sirram complete picnic set

Picnic

If nothing else, we are at least topical. So on a warm day, we've found the perfect accessory – this vintage Sirram complete picnic set.

The seller's description isn't overly detailed, so I don't know if everything is original. I suspect it all is – it all fits and it all matches, which is always a good start. That includes two flasks, various containers, cups, cutlery and plates.

Condition looks good, with the possible exception of the case fasteners. They probably just need a good clean though. £35 is the current bid price.

Casalino chair by Alexander Begge for kids

2009-143_3

We featured the Casalino chair a while back, when it started being reproduced again using the original moulds, but did you know that there's also a kids version of this Alexander Begge design

Yes, this classic piece of space age design is available sized for children. These chairs are also made using the original moulds, dating back to the 1970s. It shares its shape and material with the grown-up version so also shares some of the designs practical advantages: it's suitable for outdoor use and is stackable.

The kid's version comes in two sizes, take your pick from 'Junior' or 'Toddler' depending on the size of your offspring.

The chairs cost £88 each.

Fonteyn midcentury-style desk by Steuart Padwick for Made.com

Font

Regular readers might recall that we recently featured the Fonteyn dressing table, which was available at Made.com. Well, that same site has a variation on the theme in the form of this Fonteyn desk by Steuart Padwick.

Another exclusive to the online design site, it's one of the coolest desks we've seen for a long time. Taking the midcentury era for inspiration, the Fonteyn desk is made of oak and walnut, with those tapered legs mixing it with the curved of the actual desk, finished off with a couple of drawers and a clear lacquer to show off the grain of the wood. Perfect for letter writing or a laptop we think.

The full price is £1,100, but as ever, if you order within the limited period at Made.com, you get get it for much, much less. How much? £279 if you order in the next six days.

eBay watch: Dijkstra 1970s floor / table lamp

Djik

A great piece of 1970s design for not a lot of cash so far on eBay – this Dijkstra floor / table lamp.

Very much in that 'Guzzini' style, it's not quite a full-sized floor lamp at 114cm tall, but is probably something of an oversized table lamp too. Should work as either though. The lamp has a double-layered shade which gives off an orange glow when illuminated, with the height of the shade able to adjust on the chromed stem.

The lamp uses two bulbs and is said to be in 'very good condition', with no obvious damage, such as cracks or wear. Right now, it's at just 1 pence.

Is that plastic too? New range from Yoyo ceramics

Is that plastic

Yoyo ceramics are well-known for their take on design classics, such as the Yoyomaker range: an update of the classic Homemaker pattern. For their latest range Is that plastic too? they look to the designs of the seventies.

The range includes a reinterpretation of a classic thermos flask, a tupperware just and camping mugs – all recreated in ceramic and decorated in a pattern inspired by another household object – the jay cloth. Even better is the range is entirely dishwasher proof.

Prices start at £15 for the mugs.
