Fiat 500 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari hits UK in very limited numbers

We first saw this in 2009 but since then, details of the stunning Fiat 500 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari have been scarce. But now we have details of both price and numbers – one big and one small. I think you can guess which is which.

Taking its name from an Abarth-tuned version of the original Fiat 500 produced in the 1960s, the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari (the latter part of the name relating to its Ferrari looks), is limited to just 152 cars, so we're talking supwer exclusive as well as super stylish.

eBay watch: fully-upgraded 1970 Fiat 500L car

Aside from the starting price, there's not a lot wrong with this superb Fiat 500L, which dates from 1970.

It's had the works. According to the seller, you're talking a fully restored vehicle that's been upgraded to a 650cc engine/gearbox, as well as having new electrics, chrome, rubbers, sunroof, wheels, tyres…pretty much everything that can be replaced (without losing the spirit of the original).

eBay watch: 1980s Fiat 126

Ok, it's not a Fiat 500, either new or vintage, but this Fiat 126 is something of a missing link between the two – and much cheaper.

It actually dates back to 1989, but has just 40,000 miles on the clock and comes with an MOT until December 2010. It also has a rustproof course to stop any deterioration, while that 650cc runs 'as sweet as a nut'.

One thing to note is that the car is left-hand drive. If you can deal with that, it's yours for £1,995 or a best offer.

eBay watch: 1972 Fiat 500

It's back on the market in a modern form, but nothing compares to the charm of an original Fiat 500. This being a particularly fine example.

Dating back to 1972 and with just under 53,000 miles on the clock (which is nothing), the car has been on the receiving end of plenty of work, including new suspension swinging arms, new brakes, wheel bearings, king pins and bushes, plus new track rods, steering rods and a new sun roof. The interior, thankfully, is still in original condition.

Talking of condition, the seller says the body work in places needs a 'little attention but nothing to affect MOT', so bear that in mind. It's currently on eBay for £3,500.

Fiat 500C by Diesel unveiled

The original Fiat 500 by Diesel went on sale around 18 months back, but priced well up on the basic model. So we expect much the same of the forthcoming Fiat 500C by Diesel.

As you've probably guessed, this is another remake of everyone's favourite modern-day retro car, but with Diesel giving treatment to the convertible 500. So the same Diesel detailing on the wheels, side-panels and interior, the same anthracite colourway (pictured over the page) and new blue (above) and beige versions.

No news on price, but it would be wise to budget up on a standard convertible.
