Polaroid Camera Set at Urban Outfitters

Polaroid

We've still not seen the Lady Gaga Polaroid cameras in the shops, so if you want to go Polaroid right now, you'll have to buy something like this Polaroid Camera Set at Urban Outfitters.

Sadly, Urban Outfitters doesn't give the full model details of the camera in question. We've done some hunting round and not found an exact copy – if you are an expert, feel free to drop a comment below.

But it does offer all the classic Polaroid functionality, with instant snaps developed in front of your eyes in minutes, with some modern-day PX film from Impossible Project thrown in to get you started. A handy flash too, for poor light snaps. £120 is the price of the set, but be warned – refill film packs (also available at Urban Outfitters), do cost £25 each.

Star Wars Chop Sabers

Chop

The title pretty much says it all – these are indeed Star Wars Chop Sabers.

Imported from Japan and officially licensed from the Lucas empire, they are mini / skinny Jedi weapons that sadly don't light up, but they do operated as chopsticks, should you have a thing for far eastern cuisine (and Star Wars movies).

There's a choice of Darth Maul or Luke, with a pair setting you back £9.99.

Some of you might remember that a few weeks back, we featured a Peter Cook-based Bedazzled poster by Piper Gates Design. Well, to accompany that, Piper Gates Design have done a companion piece – the Dudley Bedazzled poster.

Yes, this time featuring co-star and long-time Cook partner Dudley Moore as Stanley Moon, it's again done in the style of a vintage Penguin book and in a limited edition of just 30.

The print is sized at 500mm x 700mm and printed on 194 gram paper, signed by the artist. Get one while you can as there are only eight left as I write. It retails for just £22.99. See the print framed over the page.

Ritual by David Pinner – the book that inspired the Wicker Man movie reprinted

Ritual

Not an exact template for the movie, Ritual by David Pinner was, however, the book that inspired the movie – and it is getting a reprint in the very near future.

Rather than being set in the Scottish highlands, this 1967 novel is set in Cornwall, with police officer, David Hanlin asked to investigate the murder of a local child. Whilst there, he's subjected to mental trickery, seduction, ancient religious practices and sacrificial rituals. Sound familiar?

The rights to the book were obtained for the Wicker Man movie a few years later, with a fairly minimal rewrite creating the ultimate movie cult classic. Original copies go for silly money, so the £6.39 price tag for the new version, which comes with original cover artwork and a new forward by Saint Etienne's Bob Stanley, looks a serious bargain. Alternatively, a hardback version sells for £9.09.

Retro Scandinavian Style Star Wars Poster

Il_570xN_205582420
Czech Republic-based graphic designer Jan Skácelík has created this great Retro Scandinavian Style Star Wars Poster.

He has taken elements of the original film, Episode IV: A New Hope such as R2D2, a Stormtrooper helmet and a lightsaber, and recreated them in a midcentury style. The poster is available in either yellow or red and in A3 or A2 size. There is also an Empire Strikes Back poster in a similar style, but no Return of the Jedi or  tributes to the more recent trilogy, which Ewok-haters and purists might approve of.

The A3 size poster costs approximately £12 from Etsy.
