Retro ice cream spoons from Baci Milano

Ice cream
Though Summer may still be that little bit too far away, it's never a wrong time to indulge in some ice cream. Fifties-style ice cream accessories are a pretty common sight on the high street, so how about the slightly later looks of these retro ice cream spoons from Baci Milano

Each spoon is topped off with a Pop-style outline of a mouth, presumably open and ready to receive ice cream. The spoons may look as if they are made in plastic but they are in fact made from porcelain, adding a touch of seriousness to what could otherwise be a throwaway item.

Still not too expensive though, as a set of four spoons costs £9.

Manhattan Dining Collection from Marks and Spencer

Manhattan

A striking contrast to some of their recent floral designs, Marks and Spencer are offering this Art Deco influenced Manhattan dining collection.

The designs are all straight lines and streamlined stripes and all the glamour you'd associate with that period. The shape of the teapot and the milk jug especially look to the more angular modernist style. Even better for a collection with such striking looks is that it's all dishwasher and microwave safe.

Some items in the collection seem to be going out of stock, so grab what you can now. Prices start at £6 for a bowl.

Swedish Tea Time print featuring Stig Lindberg’s Bersa design

Swedish Tea Time

This Swedish Tea Time print honours the Stig Lindberg's distinctive Bersa porcelain design. Originally dating to the 1960s, it's still in production today and still is the ideal accompaniment to a cup of tea, as this design makes clear!

The print is the work of Handz whose Etsy shop is full of prints inspired by classic kitchenware: other designs are based around Cathrineholm bowls or Marianne Westman's Picknick, for example.

They are reasonably priced too: far cheaper than the actual objects. This A3 print costs $19.
