Looking for something more unusual to put onto your sofa? Take a look at Zoe de Las Cases' cushions which are based on vintage family photos.

The Paris-based designer has printed the photos onto fabric and shaped into a cushion. Though the subjects of the photographs are unknown, they will instantly remind you of your own old family snapshots. The design pictured is called cousins and there's also a design based on a group of sisters. The nostalgic subject matter is further enhanced by the colour tinting of the image. 

The cushion costs £23.75.

If you're a lover of pattern and colour, you're sure to find something you like from the selection of vintage textile patterns available from Vitrine.

The owner of Vitrine, Blaine Dessent-Owner, came across a collection of drawings, paintings and collages belonging to a textile company in Lyon that went out of business in the late 80s. Each piece was made by hand and depicts a different textile design once produced by the company and includes everything for all design tastes ranging from bold geometrics to pretty florals. 

The prices for the pieces range from $85 to $90.

What's black and white and re(a)d all over? One possible answer is this collage cushion from Bonjour Mon Coussin. 

The cushion is decorated with newsprint, advertising and images of consumer goods dating from the late '50s and early '60s. Being a French company, the text is all in French – surely only adding to the glamour. We've featured some of Bonjour Mon Coussin's designs before which tend to have more attitude than the usual cushion. This design is no exception as the colour scheme of black, white and – yes – red adds to the striking look.

Vintage Reclaimed Blackboards

Although based in Northumberland, the aesthetic behind most of Ghost Furniture’s products is decidedly French.

One of their product ranges consists of Vintage Reclaimed Blackboards, which are created using frames and blackboards found in flea markets and shops in or around Paris. The frames are painted with a matt paint mixed especially for Ghost Furniture in France. The blackboard pictured here also includes a piece of vintage lace and a vintage tin suitable for storing the Vintage French Dressmakers Chalk, which is supplied with each blackboard. This particular example is priced £65, but others in the range cost up to £125.
