Lots of designers are jumping on the Olympics bandwagon, but Bold & Noble’s offering is something altogether more subtle than most, in the form of their series of Geometric Prints.

Darkroom Stolen from De Stijl range
One of London's most stylish shops, Darkroom, have launched their first own collection. Stolen from De Stijl is as strongly influenced by the Dutch art movement as the name might suggest.
The range adopts the simple visual ideas advocated by the De Stijl movement, applying blocks and lines of primary colours, along with black and white only, across a range of products including scarves, bags, cushions and notebooks. The plate pictured is hand-painted and unglazed so for purely decorative purposes only if you want it to retain its sense of style.
Prices start at £22 while the plates cost £120 each.

Clare Nicolson new cushion collection
Clare Nicolson has frequently popped up on this site, for her vintage-inspired fabrics. It's been a while since we featured anything of her work, so it's a pleasure to see her new cushion collection.
The new designs move away a bit from her usual floral patterns. However, there's still a definite retro feel to her designs just, like the rectangle cushion pictured above, they focus on geometric designs instead. If you liked her other work, fear not – the new collection still includes one of her trademark bird designs, while each of the cushions still is finished with a vintage fabric reverse.
The cushions cost £50 each.

Jo Malone collector’s edition David Hicks candles
Luxury scented candles don’t frequently feature on Retro To Go. However, this new range of collectors edition candles from Jo Malone are worth a mention because they feature some of the distinctive designs of David Hicks.
Three different designs have been matched up to Jo Malone candles. The geometric pattern of Hick’s Riviera is the perfect zingy match to the lime basil and mandarin scented candle, while the opulent Herbert’s Carnation design has been paired up with the rich Pomegranate Noir scent. Finally, Hick’s Hicksonian – made up of joined H’s – decorates the red roses candle.
They certainly look good so let’s hope the scent also helps justify the £38 price tag for each candle.

Lucienne Day bed linen by Heals
Big, bold 60s style patterns are everywhere in clothing and home wares this Spring Summer.
The Lucienne Day bed linen is based on the British textile designer's Sunrise pattern, which was originally designed for Heals in 1969. Over the 20 years she designed for Heals, Day produced over 70 different patterns and, with her prints hanging in every contemporary home across Britain, pioneering the idea of fabric as ‘art for the people’. The modernist geometric Sunrise pattern is a great way to introduce authentic 60s design to your bedroom.
The bedding is 100% cotton and available in sizes single to super king with pillowcases sold separately. The range is available exclusively from Heals and starts from £30. See website for more details.
