Charley Harper Greeting Cards
Charley Harper is a name that should be familiar to anyone with a good knowledge of Modernist art (we've certainly mentioned him before).
For those who don’t know this work consists of stylized wildlife prints, posters and book illustrations, and now there is a range of greeting cards featuring his designs. Pictured here is the Octoberama card, an autumnal and decidedly midcentury style illustration on a 7 by 5 inches blank card.
The cards cost £2.25 each from Hus and Hem.
Modernist Greeting Cards
Francesca Iannaccone makes kitsch wooden books under the name Mrs Eliot Books, but it was her Modernist Greeting Cards that particularly caught my attention.
Sold as a pack of four, each card features an illustration of a midcentury sideboard (possibly something by G Plan) with a collection of ceramics and ornaments on top of it. Each card has a different sideboard and the objects vary, but looks to include Cathrineholm ceramics and Holmegaard or Whtefriars glassware. Perfect for welcoming a design conscious friend to their new home.
The cards cost £4.75 per pack from the Mrs Eliot Books store on Etsy.
Modernist greeting cards by Mrs Eliot Books
Share your love of mid-century style with these Modernist greeting cards by Mrs Eliot Books.
You may remember her name from her modplants cushion we featured a little while back. Now she's applied her retro style to these four card designs, all illustrated of mid-century collections displayed on the cabinet. There's plenty of fun to be had in spotting your favourite designs: look out for Stig Lindberg, John Clappison and Kaj Franck for starters.
A pack of four cards costs $7.
