Robot alarm clock from Habitat

Robot alarm clock

This robot alarm clock from Habitat is a great piece of fun retro design for your kids – or just yourself.

The robot stands at just over 11cm high and is made from plastic. As well as looking good, he's got the added bonus of a clock in his stomach – and an alarm to go with it. This blue hatted robot is our favourite but Habitat is also stocking a slightly crazed looking pink robot alarm clock too.

They're both currently reduced in price to £8.

eBay watch: 1970s Crayonne Moon table lamp for Habitat

Crayonne

We have featured one of these in the past, but if you missed out on that 1970s Crayonne Moon table lamp for Habitat, there's another one there now with a low starting price.

As we mentioned before, Crayonne was a Habitat brand in the 1970s, with this lamp being sold in the early to mid-70s in the design store. I stands just over 21cm tall, with the lamp a mix of yellow plastic and chrome.

According to seller, the yellow plastic is 'crazed', but is listed as a design fault rather than more recent damage. It's also been checked and a new plug added. Right now, it's at £4.99.

eBay watch: Verner Panton Peacock Chair – Habitat limited reissue

Panton

Yes, I know we've featured this before, but the Habitat reissue of the Verner Panton Peacock Chair rarely comes up, so if well worth another mention.

If you missed it last time we featured it, the Peacock Chair dates back to 1969, with a design inspired by a peacock's tail. It's a stunning, attention-grabbing design, even as a reissue.

This reissue dates from 1999, when it was reissued in limited numbers and discontinued in less than a year. 12 years on and it has become a collector's piece in its own right. Condition is described as 'good' and has been 'carefully looked after'. Want it? Bidding is currently at £150.
