The Waldorf Sofa is part of Heal’s classic designs range.
The shape of the sofa takes its inspiration from designs of the 1930s, with its semi-circular ends and cutaway arm details. The sofa is available in a range of fabrics, so if the floral pattern pictured here isn’t to your taste then they may have something more to your liking in-store.
It is available exclusively to Heal’s and is currently in the sale with a starting price of £1,596 reduced from £1,995.
Heal's have gone back into their enviable archives again for this Helix inspired throw.
Helix was part of a 1970 collection from the company: the collection was named Countdown because it was launched the same day as Apollo 13. There's a hint of space travel in the swirls of the design, but now is more reminiscent of the influence of Op Art on the period.
If you like this pattern, Heal's have also reissued it on cushions, coasters and mugs.

Forget 1950s cake style with this Koziol Babell three-tier cake stand.
Making cake and displaying it doesn't have to be about the post-war years and this cake stand shows how 1980s fluorescent bright lights can be combined with the art of cake making (and eating). If you're not much into cake, use the stand to display your ornaments or pretty trinkets.

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britain, Heal’s has gone all out with the promotion of 1950s-inspired products, many of which we’ve mentioned here before. One that is new to us, and definitely worth looking at, is the John Jenkins Studio Desk, created exclusively for Heal’s.
The desk is made from a combination of oak and walnut veneer and features a drop-down work surface. The rest of the unit provide a good amount of storage space, although if that isn’t enough for you, there are other office units in the same range.

The range includes trays, plates and tumblers, all decorated with stylised fishes that have depicted in various stages of blue. Like all of Jonathan Adler's design, there's a definite retro feel to the design – in this case, it looks towards the 1950s.
