Automation Bed Linen

Automation
Like the Metro set featured last week, the Automation Bed Linen is a range of brightly coloured retro bedding from Heal’s.

This design is part of the Heal’s ReDiscovers series, being a reissue of Barbara Brown’s 1970s print. The design was inspired by machines and architecture, and Brown mathematical formulae to create the pattern – which is probably why the overall effect makes me think of Kraftwerk! Prices start at £30 for a pair of pillowcases with the duvet covers ranging from £70 for the single size up to £100 for the Superking size.

Metro Bed Linen

Metro_m
Heal’s is currently selling various brightly coloured bed linen , with perhaps the most interesting being the Metro Bed Linen.

The pattern consists of a series of different coloured and sized columns, in a style that I would describe as modernist. The Metro Bedlinen is currently in the sale with prices starting at £48 for a single duvet (reduced from £96) up to £73 for a superking size (previously £146).

Plus 4 Garden Furniture Set by John Jenkins

602518_m
The Plus 4 Garden Furniture Set by John Jenkins is part of Heal’s ReDiscovers collection.

The garden table and chairs set is inspired by a classic Ambrose Heal design from 1923. Like some of the best retro dining sets, the Plus 4 is designed with space saving in mind, with the chairs tucking neatly around the edge of the table. The table and chairs are made from teak and there is a hole in the centre of the table for a parasol.

The set costs £995 (it promises to save space, not money!) from Heal’s.

Stellar Art Deco cafetiere from Heal’s

Stellar art deco

Inspired by Art Deco, this Stellar cafetiere from Heal's is sure to add a touch of style to any table.

The cafetiere directly references the sleek lines you would associate with the style, with a distinctive arched handle. Not just stylish, serious coffee addicts will rejoice in its double insulation and 1 litre capacity.

If you like the look of this, Heal's is also selling an accompanying teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug: in fact all you need for puttin' on the Ritz come tea time.

The cafetiere costs £70.

Midcentury-style Dinky sofa and Dinky armchair in Sanderson Festival fabric at Heal’s

Dinky1

A two for one feature for Heal’s designs with both the Dinky sofa and Dinky armchair in Sanderson Festival fabric being very stylish midcentury-style gems.

Both are exclusives to Heal’s, the amrchair above described as being ‘Dinky by name and by nature’, with a small footprint, small foam seat and high back, with those angled wooden legs in either a natural or dark stain. Incidentally, it’s also available in Heal’s reinterpretation of Lucienne Day’s Calyx and a plain citrus fabric too. If you want one of these UK-made armchairs, they’re available online from £1,170. It’s not the only item in the range though.
