Remember the Pet Sounds wallpaper we featured a little while back? Well, if you liked that pattern but weren't quite brave enough to cover your walls with it, thankfully Mini Moderns have reproduced the same design on the Pet Sounds tea towel. 

It's the same folky, weird wonderfulness, just on a much smaller scale, meaning you can now dry your designs, inspired by the apparent musical talents of the animal kingdom.

Lottie Lion kids meal set from Too Much Too Young

As well as a song by The Specials, Too Much Too Young is now also the title of a company specialising in stuff for kids. As you'd expect from the name, all the goods have a retro feel, such as this Lottie Lion meal set. 

Made in the UK, the bone china cup and plate set all are decorated with the an illustration of a friendly lion, very much worked in a late 60s/70s style. If lions are still a little scary, they also sell sets featuring child friendly designs of trains, toadstools and elephants. Take a look at their website for games and reworked vintage items suitable for nurseries too.

If you're a regular reader of this site, you'll instantly recognise the art on these cards from IKEA as the handy work of Maria Holmer-Dahlgren. 

We're quite infatuated with her Pop art style designs, be they for London or Stockholm. These cards feature five of your favourite Swedish cities, all depicted in her trademark style. Perfect for framing and adding instant colour to your home. 

Best of all is the price, as a pack of all five designs costs just £2.50.

Gillian Kyle mugs

Vintage botanical charts at Whippet Grey

Never let it be said we don't cater for all your retro needs on this site. If you have an urge for vintage botany, take a look at these botanical charts available from Whippet Grey. 

The charts were produced by a German educational company and were originally illustrated in the 1950s and 60s. These have been re-issued based on the original print, printed onto canvas and presented with wooden poles. The black background gives them a dramatic look, something enhanced by their size – they are 120cm long.

Dick Bruna vintage story book bunting

Bruna bunting

You can't have failed to notice the huge amount of bunting bedecking shops and stalls and is on sale just about everywhere at the moment. Here's some more, but with an interesting twist: it's bunting using vintage book illustrations by Dick Bruna. 

It's the work of Etsy seller leJeune who has taken the original illustrations from a 1966 copy of Bruna's The Sailor and made them into the bunting. His bold illustrations are used on one side with the story on the other. Take a look at her shop from more bunting from other children's books, the perfect thing for a kid's room. 

This bunting costs $22.
