Ellesse 1970s replica ski jacket

Ellesse

Here is something just a little different for winter wear – the Ellesse 1970s replica ski jacket.

Admittedly more suitable for a skiing break (that’s what it was originally designed for), it should be pretty useful if winter kicks in hard again this year too. A limited edition collector’s piece, the jacket is an exact archive replica, with a ‘puffer’ style, ribbed collar, waist and cuffs, side pockets, warm padded insulation and of course, some eye-catching ’70s style.

If you want one, you can grab one online for £249.

Piped Military Coat from Dorothy Perkins

Pipedmilitary

Military influence in fashion has been rehashed from season to season of late, with each new incarnation bringing more outlandish fodder. Among the hyper-modern, however, remains some military pieces which rely on a more classic approach, like this Piped Military Coat from Dorothy Perkins.

The coat is available in a range of four classic shades from khaki to camel, in a wool blend fabric that is both rich and affordable. The funnel neck design adds a feminine sixties look, while brass-look buttons on double breasted detailing retains the uniform inspiration. Adding flap pockets at the hips cleverly creates feminine shape from era-fitting detail.

It's now available, exclusively online, from Dorothy Perkins for £99.

Barbour 75th Anniversary International Jacket

Barbour75

Not so much a fashion item as a collector's piece – the Barbour 75th Anniversary International Jacket.

To celebrate 75 years of the International jacket, Barbour are producing 75 special limited edition jackets based on the original design, which was created for the 1936 International Six Day Trials – that's how it got the name. Worn by competitive motorcyclists through to the 1970s and of course, famously by Steve McQueen, it's a jacket with a serious heritage, so this limited version in 'box-fresh' or 'distressed' finish is certainly going to be sought after.

Look out for it from December 1st 2010 at Barbour’s Heritage stores, Liberty and independents across the UK – End Clothing has already confirmed it will have stock on that day.
