Bond2

Themed hotel rooms are nothing new, but the 007 Suite at the Seven Hotel, Latin Quarter, Paris might just have the ability to draw a gasp out of you.

eBay watch: 1960s Austin Mini Moke convertible

Moke

If you want to make driving fun again, you might want to invest some of your savings in this 1960s Austin Mini Moke convertible.

It's actually dated to 1966 – and you could probably imagine it taking someone for a whirl round Carnaby Street in its heyday. According to the seller, the Moke has been in 'many film shoots' and 'some James Bond films' and is sold in 'original' condition – although I'm not sure the paint job is original.

The 848cc engine apparently 'starts and runs fine' and there's 11 months of MOT left on it. Of course, it's tax free. Check out lots more snaps of it online, with the price on a 'Buy It Now' for £6,995.

eBay watch: 1970s Lotus Esprit S2

Lotus

Here's a car that will turn heads at the petrol station. Indeed, if you buy this 1978 Lotus Esprit S2, you'll probably be spending a lot of time down the petrol station.

It's a car that pretty much screams the 70s, motoring excess oozes from every corner. And with so many sharp edges on the design, that's an awful lot of corners. This second-generation Esprit has a 1,973cc engine, a mileage of just 49,000 and a good amount of work done on it, to the point that it drives well enough, without any 'smoke or rattles', says the current owner. On the downside, it apparently needs painting, some minor bodywork repairs and some work to the windscreen, not to mention new tyres.

So a mixed bag, but if you're prepared to do a bit of work (or to get someone else to do it), this Lotus Esprit S2 could be a car to impress. After all, a first-generation Lotus Esprit was good enough for James Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me. Although sadly, this one doesn't turn into a submarine. £1,320 is the current price.

1960s-style Dali swivel armchair at Furniture Village

Dali

A seat that's certainly worth a second look on the high street – this Dali swivel armchair at Furniture Village.

It's very much in the 'James Bond villain' style of 1960s-like seating, complete with chrome base and a hardwood frame that hosts the semi-aniline leather upholstery. The fixed cushions, elasticated webbed back support and 'sinuous springs' should keep you comfy as you spin too.

Don't worry if you're not keen on the 'aubergine' leather finish above, you can choose from a total of 10 shades of leather, including more traditional black and brown. But here's the good news – it's now heavily discounted, down from £899 to £599, which makes it a far more attractive option.
