Earlier this week we showed you Sean Sims, whose alphabet artwork is now available as cards. Here's another designer to brighten up your greeting card selection: Ingela Arrhenius has worked on a range for Lagom called Bonbon. 

Like her individual pieces of artwork, these designs are packed full of retro charm. There are 16 designs to pick from, which range from elephants and flamingos to the cocktail hour shown above which has a distinct '50s flavour. 

The cards cost £1.92 each.

Alexander Girard Christmas cards at Lagom

Girard angel
Send your festive wishes mid-century style this year, with the Alexander Girard Christmas cards available from Lagom.

The cards add to their existing range of greeting cards based on Girard's colourful designs. Girard apparently amassed nativities for the International Museum of Folk Art in Santa Fe (in term inspiring the recently issued nativity set) so it's no surprise these influenced his work. Shown above is a card based on a 1962 Nativity Angel. You can also pick from a card featuring a Nativity dating from 1968 or Flying Angels from 1971.

Individual cards cost £1.80 each, or you can get a set of the angels in three different colours for £3.40.

Ingela P Arrhenius tea towels at Lagom

Img_drawYour kitchen would be overflowing if you bought all of the tea towel designs we recommended to you, but when, like the Ingela P Arrhenius tea towels at Lagom, they're an affordable way to buy great design they are hard to resist. 

You may remember Ingela's name as we featured her retro-styled artwork for kids a little while back. Here she translates those 1950s and 60s influence into something for the grown-ups too. Like the Lotta Kuhlhorn design we also flagged up, this tea towel is based around a well-stocked kitchen cupboard. Mixing in some colourful retro kitchenware, it's sure to brighten up the dullest spot of washing up.

Lagom’s Alexander Girard greeting cards

Girard card

We're huge fans of the mid-century designs work of Alexander Girard here, though sometimes it's a little tricky to find affordable version of his work for sale. We featured these notecards quite a while back but unfortunately they no longer seem to be available. It's exciting news then that Lagom have been selected by the Girard estate to publish a range of greeting cards for sale in the UK. 

There are twelve attractive cards available which include reproductions of some of his best known designs. Each card costs £1.79 and apparently there's some gift wrap to follow. Watch this space…
