Soda Stream gets a limited edition Karim Rashid makeover

Karim

It's something of an icon from the 1970s, so it's appropriate that Karim Rashid has given the Soda Stream a limited edition makeover – in a 1970s style.

Yes, there's a distinct space age look to the new Soda Stream, as well as a bold retro colour scheme for the exterior and carbonating bottles. There's even two limited edition syrups created especially for the new release – Elderberry-Blueberry and Lemon-Strawberry, should you fancy giving your tastebuds a treat too.

We've not seen this for sale in the UK as yet, but Colette (which ships worldwide) does have it – selling the set for 130 Euros, which is around £107.

Update: Soda Stream has been in touch to inform us that the Karim Rashd model is available in the UK, exclusively at Harvey Nichols.

L'Affiche Moderne is always an interesting place to look for quirky and often retro artwork without spending a fortune, as this ABC is easy as 123 print by Sol Linero testifies.

Sol Linero is an Argentinian illustrator based in Buenos Aires and obviously inspired by the 1950s, as the alphabet print shows, not to mention his similar Ponch and Lupita print, which is also available on the site.

The print above is limited to 300, available as everything from a print to a canvas in varying sizes. As you can imagine, prices vary because of this, but start at just over 23 Euros.

Slazenger 1966 World Cup special edition match ball

Slaz

A real talking point, as well as useful thing should you fancy an impromptu kickabout – the Slazenger 1966 World Cup special edition match ball.

You may or may not know that Slazenger produced the ball used in England’s ’66 World Cup triumph and this is a replica of that very same ball. No boffins worked on this particular piece of kit, this is a genuine hand stitched leather ball made up of 25 panels. But it is said to be a little lighter than the original (currently housed in the National Football Museum, wherever that happens to be this week).

Limited edition as you might expect, it sells for £19.66.
