Allsorts wallpaper

Allsorts wallpaper

This Allsorts wallpaper is an interesting find sure to sweeten up a kids room.

Bassets Liquorice Allsorts have a long and impressive heritage. Having been around since 1899, they're instantly recognisable. To add to this mix there's a bit of 1960s cultural history behind this wallpaper too: the design has been drawn by Robert Benson, the man behind Gonks. His original illustration has been scanned and printed onto the wallpaper to create a bright Pop effect worthy of the sixties.

It's available through I love design, priced at £350 for two rolls.

I Love London and I Love Recycling limited edition large metal prints by Sir Peter Blake

Blake2

Some time back, we highlighted the rather cool wall signs featuring Sir Peter Blake's I Love London and I Love Recycling design. Well, even better, there are now giant metal prints of the designs available – but in very limited numbers.

Printed onto recycled tin (to fit in with the theme), each one is signed and numbered by the artist, with the London print limited to 75, while the Recycling print is in a run of just 25, both sized at 62 x 81cm – the largest tin prints Blake has ever produced.

Karen Hilton’s White on White target cushion

Target cushion

The Mod Target gets a new look with Karen Hilton's White on White target cushion

The design has been recreated on the cushion cover, using unbleached cotton and white felt instead of the familiar red, white and blue. The result still keeps the sixties feel but gives the cushion more of a space age look. Fancy seeing it in some other colours? Take a look at Hilton's other designs which use brights such as hot pink and yellow to create cushions with added Pop.

Each cushion is handmade and costs £34.

Seed boxes by Clifford Richards

OMB seed

The seed box gets an update with these designs by Clifford Richards.

There's a choice of four different looks from the designer to choose from. There's the Second World War inspired Dig for Victory version pictured or, for something more associated with Richard's graphic Pop art style, take a look at the 'Grow your own' design. The other two designs feature colourful depiction of vegetables, both in a retro style.

They work on a practical level too. They're made from heavy gauge steel to keep rodents out, with six ventilated compartments for seeds, and can be either mounted on the wall or left free standing.

Quite an investment at £82 each but think of the money you could save on buying veg in the long term.

Sodas: Pop-inspired prints by The Design Conspiracy

Soda

The Design Conspiracy have been influenced by Pop Art in their new series of Sodas screen prints

The London-based design studio have produced five different designs, each illustrating the top of a vintage soda bottle. The bright colours and over-sized graphics, fascination with packaging and the collective work on the project has obvious links back to Warhol and his factory project. Attractive individually, or a a set, each design is hand-pulled screen printed and limited to just 25 copies.

The designs cost £35 each.

Kit wallpaper featuring retro food packaging from Studio Nommo

Nommo wallpaper

If you believe you are what you eat, how about extending this motto to the rest of your home? Should you want to, the Kit wallpaper from Studio Nommo allows you to cover your walls with retro-style illustrations of packaging and create a Pop Art food fantasy look that surely even Warhol would be proud of.

The paper is based on a design by Andreas Samuelsson and features everything from boxes of Ritz crackers to Nintendo NES controllers. The design is fun and unusual but, even in this otherwise minimal marketing room shot, looks pretty full on!

If you're brave enough to want to try this look out, the paper costs 130 Euros a roll.
