All-new Lambretta LN scooter priced for UK

Lam1

Regular readers might remember that we featured the return of the Lambretta at the back end of last year. Well, the details of the Lambretta LN scooter launch are starting to take shape – with details of a new Lambretta LS scooter also emerging.

First up, the LN scooter, which has now landed at selected dealers ahead of the full launch. One of those is WK Bikes wkbikes.com, which will have the LN 125. There's an LN 150 to follow later in the year. Both are 'twist and go' automatic scooters, mixing that with old school looks reminiscent of the original using plastic and metal.

Not as cheap as you think though. Made in Taiwan and imported into the UK, the Lambretta LN 125 sells for around £3,300. Ouch. Look out for a twin-seated LS scooter too – that's pictured over the page and will come in 50cc and 125cc models. Likely to be cheaper, but we suspect not by a huge amount.

1970s Adidas Rod Laver trainers reissued

Laver

Not the most regular reissue on the Adidas roster, the Adidas Rod Laver trainers have been reissued just in time for Wimbledon.

From that (and the name), you'll have gathered that this was a tennis shoe when it landed in 1970, returning here in an appropriate white with green, as well as with a mesh upper, suede toe box, contrasting vulcanised sole and classic branding.

Limited edition, £55 is the price.

1970s Adidas Dragon trainers reissued in white

Dragon

A more back to basics reissue than the Size? exclusive that appeared back in January, this version of the Adidas Dragon trainers keeps things nice and simple in white.

A lightweight running shoe from the 1970s, the Dragon is always popular because it keeps everything similar, especially with a white upper, matched up with blue and red detailing, plus the gold Dragon branding.

Side and nylon mix for the upper, with an eco-friendly lining and contrasting EVA wedge midsole. Grab a pair directly from Adidas, £52 is the price.

Umbro’s retro-styled New York Cosmos Anthem Jacket and Track Top now available to buy

Cosmos

Last year, we mentioned over on our His Knibs site that Umbro was remaking the New York Cosmos kit for the reformed US football legends. At the time, there was no news of it being for sale. Well, you can buy it now. At least, you can buy the best bits of the range.

Those 'best bits' are the New York Cosmos Anthem Jacket and Track Top . The Anthem is very much in a 1960s bomber jacket style, in a rich green with the New York Cosmos crest on the chest, the name embroidered across the back, a shaped body and a three-colour stripe on the cuff and collar. £54.99 is the price – see over the page for a picture of Pele wearing one.

Alternatively, Umbro has a Track Top out based on the 1970s version. In white, it has green detailing, the Cosmos badge and is made of a double knit fabric with polyester outer layer to protect you from the elements combined. That's also £54.99.

Two suede reissues of the Adidas Spezial trainers

Spez2

A 1970s classic is back on the market in two colours of suede – the Adidas Spezial trainers.

Originally created for that niche sport of handball back in 1979, it was soon picked up for the terraces and has been a pretty popular choice ever since. This reissue has a suede upper, matched with a perforated gum sole for extra cushioning, finished off with gold branding and 'oval' laces.

Take your pick from the navy and Argentina blue above or a blue and white pictured over the page. Both retail for £55.

eBay watch: Reissued Harvey Guzzini Sorella space age table lamp by Nemo

Sor1

Not the first time we've featured the design, as the Sorella table lamp by Harvey Guzzini has been something of a space age holy grail in the past. Not so anymore, as Nemo has bought the rights to this classic 1970s lamp and is selling official reissues right now.

Which essentially means much the same lamp for a fraction of the cost – these angled lamps tended to go for hundreds on eBay on good condition. If you aren't familiar with the Sorella, you don't watch enough old films and TV – this 1972 'Studio Tecnico Harvey' design featured prominently in the likes of Space 1999 and James Bond's Moonraker and still retains that futuristic look today.

Best of all with the new ones is the colour, no age discolouration here and of course, all the electrics will be checked and ready to go. Not too many sellers around in the UK, but Glasgow-based Spatial Lighting are official Nemo dealers and have stock of the new light right now, which they are selling at a fixed price online via eBay. A little cheaper than most too at £120. See the lamp 'in action' in Space 1999 over the page.
