Tattly: retro-inspired temporary tattoos

Tattly

Tattly is a new venture launched by the blogger Swissmiss offering temporary tattoos for design-minded kids and the young at heart. The range includes plenty of retro subject matter for offer – though not the traditional hearts or roses you might expect.

She's worked with various different illustrators to produce the tattoos. Julia Rothman has supplied the digital watch design pictured, as well as a robot and a polaroid camera. Other designs include retro computer graphics and an old-fashioned microphone.

$5 buys you a set of two of any design or you can buy all 15 designs for $35.

Gold Cassette Watch by EOS New York

Cassette
Cassettes may be a dead format to the uninitiated masses but we still love them and it seems that the good people at EOS New York do too.

This 80s-tastic Gold Cassette Watch is a fittingly fabulous tribute to our beloved tapes. Every tiny detail has been thought of, from the laser-etched details on the watch face (extra Brownie points for the cute retro robot in the bottom corner!), to the moving reels that rotate the tape fully every 60 minutes. The only downside is you can't record all your favourite tunes onto it but we can't have everything.

If you love it as much as we do, it can be yours for £120 from Harvey Nichols. See their website for more details.

Robot alarm clock from Habitat

Robot alarm clock

This robot alarm clock from Habitat is a great piece of fun retro design for your kids – or just yourself.

The robot stands at just over 11cm high and is made from plastic. As well as looking good, he's got the added bonus of a clock in his stomach – and an alarm to go with it. This blue hatted robot is our favourite but Habitat is also stocking a slightly crazed looking pink robot alarm clock too.

They're both currently reduced in price to £8.
