Robot stickers by Lauren Moriarty

Robots-Cutout

As you know, we do love a good robot on this site. And these robot stickers designed by Lauren Moriarty are a great addition to the selection we've featured.

A reflection of the fun, graphic products she designs, each pack contains four different types of robot along with their faithful robot dog companion. The stickers are suitable to apply directly to glass or plastics and can also be used on wood or metal with a little bit of pre-treatment.

To give an idea of size, each pack is 17.5cm high. They come in a choice of seven bright colours and, at £2.95 per pack, it's worth snapping up a few to add some Robo-style to your home.

Skk Lighting 1960s-style robot lamp

Robotlamp
You know how we love a good robot on this site and somehow the stockpile of designs never seems to be exhausted. Latest in (and a new favourite) is this retro-style Robot lamp made by Skk Lighting.

Skk Lighting, the brand of lighting consultant Shiu-Kay Kan, does a good line in fun products – lights in the shape of everything from skulls to dinosaurs – but the inspiration for this little creature came from a 1960s tin Japanese toy robot. The shape has been replicated from plastic and, when the bulb is on, gives a glow perfect for a spot of night reading.

A great little piece of design, the lamp sells for £59.

Retro robot hand warmers

Robot-handwarmers-300

Venture outside and there’s more than a chill in the air. If you liked the robot salt and pepper pots featured earlier in the week and are looking for another way to your gloves to keep your hands warm on a cold winter’s day, how about these retro robot hand warmers

They work like those hand warmer pouches you may have seen: you click a metal disk to activate the heat and they are re-usable as you place can them into hot water to reactivate. The advantage is that these are shaped like cute robots meaning there’s far more incentive for kids (or adults) to carry them around.

The hand warmers cost £6.50 from Dollydagger

Robot cabinet from Barnvanligt

Robot storage

Tidying never looked so appealing as when it offered the opportunity to play with this cool Robot cabinet from Swedish company Barnvanligt. Their website is crammed full of great designs for kids.

Though they do deliver within the EU, their website is all in Swedish. Nevertheless, armed with Google language tools, I've managed to work out that it's made from white lacquer MDF (though a light blue option is also available) and contains three separate sections, each with their own door. Fantastically, the arms are also adjustable. The obvious place for this little creature is a kid's bedroom but as it's so appealing, I quite fancy it for myself!
