Adidas Beckenbauer trainers back in black and orange

Becken

We have seen reissues in the fairly recent past, but there's something reassuringly classic about the latest take on the Adidas Beckenbauer trainers.

Originally an all-round football and training shoe from 1982, this no-nonsense shoe is back in a classic colourway of black and orange, offering up a plush perforated leather upper, high impact training outsole and some gold branding on the side.

You can pre-order now, priced at £59.

Offside table football-style hanger by LADP

Offside

Don't just hang your coat just anywhere – hang it on the Offside hanger by LADP.

Yes, based on a classic table football game (also known as foosball in some parts), it's the work of Norwegian designer Runa Klock, who has matched up larger versions of the little men, fixing them to a stainless steel or white lacquered aluminium frame.

Choose from red, green, blue or yellow for the colours, with the price at £47.14.

New York Cosmos reforms – Umbro makes retro-styled kit

Cosmos1

It seems that the New York Cosmos, the legendary US football (or 'soccer' if you like) team from the 70s and 80s, have reformed. Not only that, there's a new kit – the shirt is pictured above and a track top is pictured over the page, worn by the club's most famous son, both made by sportswear firm Umbro.

The club is apparently back under new ownership, with Pele as its honorary chairman and with the aim of (eventually) competing in the Major League Soccer tournament in the US. But right now, it's focusing on 'elite' youth academies to bring the best players through.

Despite the lack of league action, the club is producing new kits before the end of the year. No news on price or availability, but we suspect there will be big demand when it lands in a matter of weeks.

Beckenbauer Allround trainers get reissue from Adidas

Beck1

We saw these return back in June, but here's another colour variation of the Adidas Beckenbauer Allround trainers.

First seen during the twilight of Franz Beckenbauer's career in 1982 (when he playing out his years with New York Cosmos), this 1982 all-round training and football shoe still has the early 80s profile, but comes packaged in white with black, grey and gold detailing, as well as sporting a suede 'mudguard' on the front.

A classic – and yours for £54.99. See another shot over the page.

Classic World Cup football shirts of tournaments past at Toffs

Toffs_1
Don’t know about you, but we much prefer the classic football shirts of days gone by to the super-thin, synthetic numbers of the modern-era. Just as well you can still buy classic World Cup shirts at Toffs.

Of course you can buy an England 1966 shirt, a Brazil 1970 (above), a Holland 1974, an Argentina 1986 or an Italia 1982 track top. Indeed, you can pick up every ‘big name’ team from just about every eras. But you can also pick up some of the more niche shirts of past and current World Cup participants too – like the USA 1950 shirt, also pictured above.

Or to be really niche, check out a 1960s Japan football shirt over the page, as well as the shirt worn by Australia in their first World Cup in 1975. Most prices are around the £34.99 mark, but start at £19.99. Check out the full range at the site.
