Klint

We have featured the Le Klint 1970s 172 pendant light some time back, but now this stylish 70s pendant light has a cut-price competitor – the B&Q Rosa light.

The original 172 light (pictured left) was designed by Poul Christiansen back in 1971 and available in various sizes to fit the size of your room. All are hand-folded in Denmark from a single flat sheet of plastic and come ready-assembled in the box, along with a white flex, rise cover and an ES lampholder. Prices start at £146 but go into four figures for the huge versions.

Karen Hilton’s White on White target cushion

Target cushion

The Mod Target gets a new look with Karen Hilton's White on White target cushion

The design has been recreated on the cushion cover, using unbleached cotton and white felt instead of the familiar red, white and blue. The result still keeps the sixties feel but gives the cushion more of a space age look. Fancy seeing it in some other colours? Take a look at Hilton's other designs which use brights such as hot pink and yellow to create cushions with added Pop.

Each cushion is handmade and costs £34.

eBay watch: 1970s Stefano Cevoli Meridiana lamps

Merid

Not one, but two pieces of stunning space age design from the 1970s up for grabs on eBay – a pair of Stefano Cevoli Meridiana lamps.

Perfect for adding that Space 1999 touch to your home, both lamps were made in Italy in the 70s, offering up that long, white 'wire-like' stem and matching base and shade in a 'cramy white', finished off with black detailing and a black cord with the on/off switch.

Both lamps stand around 22 inches tall and are said to be 'cosmetically flawless' as well as being in working order. Sold out of the US, but shipping worldwide, the current price is a very tempting $99.99 (around £68.68) for the pair, which makes them something of a bargain.

eBay watch: 1970s fold-out desk lamp

Lamp

Not a great deal of detail in the description, but we like the look and the price of this 1970s fold-out desk lamp.

Originated from and sold out of Germany, the lamp screams the decade and has a rather interesting trick up its sleeve – the ability to fold down when not in use, extending when required.

The manufacturer is unknown, the condition is 'good' and the price is a Buy It Now of £39 or an offer. Seems well worth that.

eBay watch: 1970s Sankyo 204H Day-Glo digital alarm clock

Sankyo

No chance of being woken up by internet or DAB radio, but the Sankyo 204H Day-Glo digital alarm clock on offer here will certainly brighten up your bedroom – in more ways than one.

A white case with black display and large red figures (known also as a 'mosaic' display apparently) which are very bold in the dark, the clock also throws out some brightness during the day too, hence the name. Buzz alarm as you might have guessed – no radio whatsoever on this mains-powered clock.

A very eye-catching period piece and in 'impeccable condition' says the seller. well worth the current bid price of 99 pence.
