If you are after an interiors bargain, check out the Graham and Green sale, which is packed with them, offerering up to 70 per cent off a number of lines.

We can't list them all, just browse the site for that. But we really like this 1930s-style Task Lamp. We have featured it before at full price, but it's even more tempting with a reduced price tag. n updated version of an early 30s design, it is made from a mix of chromed metal and painted aluminium, with an adjustable hood and arm to direct the light where you need it.

Originally £269.99, it's now available for £134.50. There's also a floor version for half price too. Check out these and everything else at the website.

If you want something with a classic look, inspired by the earlier part of the 20th century, check out these Alchemy floor and table lamps at Graham and Green.

With a look that wouldn't look out of place in a 'well to do' 1930s home, the lamps are traditional in shape, not to mention heavy, with the smallert version perfect for a table, desk or bedside, the larger for an imposing floor lamp.

Both are adjustable via wing nut fittings, with on/off switches located on the top of the respective light heads. The table/desk version is yours for £130, the floor for £189. See an image of the latter over the page.

We love those curves and the high arms, both reminiscent of the 1930s, with  a smooth red Artisano hide and turned hardwood legs adding to the style, while a superloop-sprung back and serpentine springs in the seat give you a  firm, but comfortable place to park yourself.

Artek 400 Tank Chair by Alvar Aalto gets Missoni makeover

A modernist classic of the 1930s is given a slightly more modern twist with the Artek 400 Tank Chair covered in a Missoni fabric.

The 400 (or Tank) chair was designed by Alvar Aalto back in 1936 for the Milan Triennale, those curves still eye-catching and distinctive in the modern era. But this version is even more prominment, covered in the Missoni Kew fabric as part of Artek's Dress The Chair campaign, where famous fabric houses are invited to give classic furnishings a new twist.

The chair itself is made of birch, with the seating using No-Sag springs, PU-foam and Dacron. it sells for 4,875 Euros.
