Double merrick

1930s travel posters are always a classic look but from Dave Thompson's prints to this Habitat cushion, they seem to be having something of a revival recently. Add to that mini list these Le Ciel and La Mer prints by Double Merrick. 

Double Merrick is the work of Merrick Angle, a British designer who is based in France. That probably explains the French that's been used on these prints showing a sailing boat and an aeroplane which both definitely hark back to a more glamorous age of travel. 

A4 sized, the prints cost 25 euros each or you can buy the pair for 42 euros.

eBay watch: Vintage Airstream caravan

We have featured recent models of these, but at a price in excess of £35,000, a new one is out of the reach of most of us. Alternatively, you can rent one for a holiday or you can bid for this vintage Airstream caravan on eBay.

Details are limited on this particular listing, but there are plenty of pictures to tell the story. The few details available say this is a 1976, 31ft, Airstream caravan that has 'just been imported' and is available for delivery. The downside is the state of the inside – let's just say a full refurbishment is required.

But with the price of those new ones being so high, this old model could prove something of a profitable project if you wish to take it on. £3,000 is the price. See the listing for lots of inside shots.

More products celebrating London, though Cole of London's London mugs are a quirky take on the trend.

There are four mugs available, each featuring a different London landmark – pick from Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London or the Houses of Parliament. Each place is depicted in a sketchy style which contrasts to the official looking title and facts that are listed on the side of each mug. It's a style that's reminiscent of the work of Royston Cooper, who produced many travel advertisements in the 50s and 60s – and that's a very good thing indeed.

Made from bone china, the mugs cost £10 each.

The cloth bound notebooks are decorated with the distinctive book cover artwork of Brian Cook, produced for the Batsford guides to Britain from the 1930s through to the 1950s. There are four different designs to pick from: The Face of Scotland is shown above, or you could go for The Landscapes of England, The Spirit of London or The Inns of England. Perfect for taking on your own travels around the UK.

Visit London greeting cards by Hello! Lucky

Okay, we've featured a lot of retro-styled London designs recently, but this Visit London greeting card by Hello! Lucky has got to be one of the most charming.

The letterpress design shows the capital looking idyllic, complete with neat townhouses, cute scooters and plush cars, alongside sights such as the Eros statue and Tower Bridge, all executed in a striking black, red and white colour scheme. Hello!Lucky have offices in both London and San Francisco and this card has been designed for them by San Francisco team Lab Partners (you may remember them from their Ode to Pears print), which may account for the tourist's view of the city as show on the cards.
