Doctor Who costume t-shirts at Forbidden Planet

Tom baker
Looking for the perfect item to fit into your Tardis wardrobe? Take a look at this range of Doctor Who costume t-shirts which is being sold exclusive to Forbidden Planet.

Each t-shirt is printed with a costume taken from one of the Doctors, like the instantly recognisable scarf of the fourth Doctor, played by Tom Baker, which is shown on the design above. Over the page you can see the t-shirt of the third Doctor, who was played by Jon Pertwee. Only six of the Doctors are deemed stylish enough to get their own tee.

A couple of the designs are available now but you'll have to wait until September and October for the rest. The t-shirts cost either £15.99 or £16.99 depending on style.

Icon blackboards from Ghost Furniture

Twiggy_blackboard_X
We've previously featured the vintage blackboards of Ghost Furniture. They've given a twist to their designs with this new range of Icon blackboards.

The blackboards are each decorated with the silhouette of an iconic star. So you've got Twiggy sat in the corner of the frame that's pictured above, or you could pick Marilyn with skirt blowing up taken from The Seven Year Itch. Other designs feature Madonna, Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel, surely meaning there is one for any preference of style.

Each blackboard is a unique piece, so prices vary. As an indication the Twiggy blackboard is being sold for £125.

Doctor Who Tardis wardrobe

Tardis

Into geek chic? You need the wardrobe to store it all in – and you don't get better than this Doctor Who Tardis wardrobe.

Yes, your very own Tardis, albeit a canvas effect one with a single rail for your clobber and double opening zipable doors. Downside? It's the same size inside as it is outside, so no room for all your household junk as well as your clothes sadly.

Saying that, it's a great talking point as well as a potential plaything for your kids. Price? £69.99.

Hang out with Sir Roger Moore at The Persuaders 40th anniversary event

Pers

If you love classic ITC shows, then 10th September 2011 is a date worth noting, as that's the date for The Persuaders 40th anniversary.

Sadly, Tony Curtis is no longer around, but Sir Roger Moore will host the event at Kent House, Knightsbridge. Get there at 6pm for a food and drink reception, followed by an HD screening of two episodes (the event is also promoting the HD reissue of the series), then a Q&A and signing session with Sir Rog. That costs £40. Play the top-end £80 and you get an advance copy of the Blu-ray set, plus the opportunity to schmooze with Sir Rog and get your Blu-ray signed. The original Aston Martin from the series will also be on hand, should that float your boat.

All tickets are limited and available from the Network website. You can find out more about the Blu-ray set here and see over the page for a restored clip of the show.

Banana Republic to launch official Mad Men Collection for men and women

Mad1

Plenty of labels have produced Man Men-inspired clothing, but from this August, there's an official Mad Men capsule collection hitting the shelves, courtesy of Banana Republic, of all people.

According to Style Bistro, the new line will launch in the US in late summer, presumably hitting the European version of the store not long after. It's been designed by Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant too, so not just some branding exercise.
