Remote-controlled A-Team van at Firebox

Ateam

Officially licensed and newly-available in the Uk, you can re-live your childhood with a remote-controlled A-Team van, just like the one out of the 80s TV show.

Complete with characteristic red stripe, red wheels and tyres, roof lights and rooftop spoiler, it can zip around your home at lightning speed, with a remote control taking it forward, reverse, left, right, while machine gun and theme tune sounds should take you back, kicking and screaming a good 25 years.

Get it while it's hot – £24.99 is the price.

eBay watch: JVC 3240GM Videosphere space age television

Videosphere

An icon of the 1970s, this JVC 3240GM Videosphere space age television is just £1 on eBay right now.

Granted you'll need to get it converted for use to digital (in the UK anyway), but if you can deal with that, this is a fine example. A 'limited' grey version, it's described as being in 'very good' condition and 'hardly used'. A few age scratches being the only issue. But on the plus side, the base and chain are intact.

Not sure how much it will go for in the end, but right now, it's a bargain.

Retro TV mouse mat from Urban Outfitters

Retro TV mousemat

More retro kitsch courtesy of Urban Outfitters and this retro TV mouse mat.

Printed with an image of an old telly, complete with dials and mock-wood encasing, it helps you remember what we used to spend our lives looking at before computer screens and the onset of the digital age. It certainly brings back some fond memories for me of thumping the telly, desperately trying to get a picture.

This slice of nostalgia costs £6

eBay watch: Sharp 5P-12G 1970s space age television

Sharp

How useful it is, I don't know (unless you slip in a digibox in some way), but just as an interesting piece of home decor, this Sharp 5P-12G television is something of a winner.

It's a design I've never seen before, although it's not a million miles from the JVC Videosphere 'space helmet' TV. Made in Japan and described as being in 'near mint' condition by the seller, the TV oozes 70s space age cool and has a 'straight', working antenna. A bonus if you can still get analogue TV in your area.

Like I said earlier, I don't know if these things can be converted to digital via a box. If not, it's just an eye-catching design. But at just £1 on eBay right now (plus postage), that might be enough to justify the price.

eBay watch: Starsky and Hutch-styled 1976 Ford Gran Torino

Starsky

One man's obsession could be your gain with this 1976 Ford Gran Torino, inspired, as you can see, by the cult car from the Starsky and Hutch TV series.

A whopping 18ft long, the car was originally bought off Ebay but has undergone extensive work since – a new Ford Racing 351w crate engine, new Ford Racing Aluminium Manifold, dual hand built Magnaflow exhausts, new radiator and heater hoses, new front rotors, pads, seals, bearings and brake hoses…the list goes on. Check out the site for the full breakdown. Let's just say a lot of money has been spent and the new engine has done just 600 miles.

It still needs some work (again, listed on the site), but looks to run fine as it is. The only thing you'll need to worry about initially is having a garage big enough to house it and the money to buy it. On the last point, £7,000 is needed to get on the bidding board.
