Union Jack Aurora Cube Coffee Table

FBJ4955_M1

The Union Jack Aurora Cube Coffee Table manages to use the flag motif in way that isn’t tacky like many products using the design.

The table is handmade from black glass, with circles cut away in the sides to give it a retro look. The table top is decorated with a Union Jack, but rather than in the usual bright red and blue, it is in muted shades of grey, which give it a touch more class.

The table costs £280 plus delivery which starts at £38 as it obviously can’t just be put in the post. Buy it online from Graham and Green.

Double Decker Routemaster Print

181732_london+bus2_2
The Double Decker Routemaster Print from I Love Design celebrated the most iconic of all buses.

Rather than being drawn in the traditional red, the buses are all decorated in a choice of traditional British patterns. Yes, that does mean the Union Jack, but also two patterns that celebrate London with illustrations of phone boxes and landmarks and one decorated with a “bus and soldier” pattern. The history of the Routemaster is written at the bottom of the print.

The posters are sold unframed and cost £20 for the A3 size or £30 for the A2 size. Buy online from I Love Design’s shop on Not on the High Street.

Vintage-style Union Jack trunks at Graham and Green

Union jack trunks

Another new way to try and store your stuff in style with the vintage-style Union Jack trunks at Graham and Green

You get two trunks for your money, at differing sizes: the large is 61cm high and the smaller trunk is 51cm high. The vintage look comes courtesy of the canvas of the trunks which has been deliberately distressed to make it look old and well travelled. Inside the hinged lid is a faded image of the Union Jack to tap into that current interiors trend. They're also selling a longer and shallower trunk with a similar look.

Vintage style apparently doesn't come cheap as the set of two trunks costs £795.

Quintessentially print by Betsey Benn

Quintessentially

The current appetite for 'Keep Calm and Carry On' artwork is taken to a whole new level with this Quintessentially print by Betsey Benn.

The print lists 240 people and things that are 'quintessentially British' from the Times Crossword to the red phone box to marmite. It's a very rosy, Richard Curtis-style view of Britain, which also promotes the benefits of a nice cup of tea and gives a recipe for a Victoria sponge cake. The various elements are presented in the colours and form of a union jack.

If you are feeling particularly patriotic, the print costs £45.

Britpop wallpaper at Wallpaper Space

Britpop-Vintage-product

If Noel Gallagher is looking to do a spot of decorating to take his mind off the Oasis split, he may well be interested in this Britpop wallpaper from Wallpaper Space. Not only does it revive that 1990s era when he was at his peak in popularity but of course, by default, it reflects Britpop's obsession with the sixties. Handily it also fits well with the trend for union jack patriotism that's going on in interior design right now.

The wallpaper is printed with newspaper stories from the nineties, superimposed with union jack patterned shapes of dogs, phone boxes, minis and (especially for you Noel) guitars. The paper is shown in its most traditional red, white and blue colour way above but also comes in, what Wallpaper Space describes as poptastic pink, camouflage green, urban grey or liquorice black. All the papers have a matt finish.

The paper costs £55 a roll from the Wallpaper Space website
