Normally it's original mid-century pieces that get a contemporary makeover, as in the recent Tamasyn Gambell x Forest collaboration, to give one example of many. However, in the case of the extremely attractive Cebl collection by Hitch Mylius and Eleanor Pritchard it's more the case of the opposite!

Postage stamp pouffe
You may remember the distinctive rug we featured recently, in the instantly recognisable shape of the British postage stamp. If you wanted to go all the way with this look, you could also invest in this postage stamp pouffe.
The pouffe is covered with colourful variants on the postage stamp, printed onto cotton velvet. Shown together, the bright colours, not to mention the iconic depiction of the Queen, and the whole object has something of a Pop feel.
Each pouffe is handmade and costs £269.

Eclectic Chair Bespoke Upholstery
The delightfully named Eclectic Chair is upholstery expert, Heather Linnitt, who offers a revamping service that will give a new lease of life to tired old chairs, sofas and footstools.
Heather loves 50s and 60s furniture, vintage fabric, Orla Kiely and Paul Smith designs, so loves to incorporate these inspirations into her upholstery projects. She is based in Leeds, so offers her services anywhere in Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, although will consider work from elsewhere. Prices start from £40 for a simple recover of a drop in seat dining chair, up to £1000 for a large sofa, but in the first instance, she asks people to drop her line with a photograph of the piece of furniture and from there she will help you find the ideal covering for it.
For more information including photographs of other pieces she has done, visit the Eclectic Chair website.
