Laura Ashley are world famous for a certain kind of romantic style. This Pimlico wallpaper goes back to the company's extensive archive to reproduce some of their most familiar type of imagery. 

The wallpaper is covered with photographs taken from their most influential moment in women's fashions: there's Edwardian-style dresses and puff sleeves, smock dresses and maxi skirts. Louise Body “Paper Tiles” Wallpaper

If you hanker for authentic victorian tiles but lack the time and inclination to install them, this Paper Tiles wallpaper from British designer Louise Body could be the solution.

A clever trompe l'oeil print creates the effect of vintage aged tiles without the hassle of cement and grout and the paper used is tough enough to be used in place of ceramics. The design incorporates original Victorian tiles but with the addition of hand-drawn flowers for a contemporary twist.

The tiles in the design measure 17.5 x 17.5cm

This design is one of ten, all printed on to hard-wearing paper sourced from managed forests. The paper costs £20 a metre.

Albany clocks

The new Albany Catwalk wallpaper collection features this striking design, based around five different retro clocks.

The clocks range from the very distinctive Vitra ball clock style design and a mid-century starburst number, to more neutral minimal designs.

This black and white is the most subdued of the colour combinations available: you can also get this design as metallic teal printed clocks on black, or metallic orange on a chocolate brown background. Those two colourways certainly have more of a retro feel, but possibly have too much impact for the average room.

Ella Doran is a designer well known for her use of the photographic image. So it's perhaps surprising that her latest product – A is for Artist wallpaper – celebrates the art of block and letterpress printing.

The wallpaper is covered with a design showing vintage printers trays. It's digitally printed onto the paper, making for an interesting and unusual wallpaper. 

The paper costs £150 per 10 metre roll.
