Britpop wallpaper at Wallpaper Space

Britpop-Vintage-product

If Noel Gallagher is looking to do a spot of decorating to take his mind off the Oasis split, he may well be interested in this Britpop wallpaper from Wallpaper Space. Not only does it revive that 1990s era when he was at his peak in popularity but of course, by default, it reflects Britpop's obsession with the sixties. Handily it also fits well with the trend for union jack patriotism that's going on in interior design right now.

The wallpaper is printed with newspaper stories from the nineties, superimposed with union jack patterned shapes of dogs, phone boxes, minis and (especially for you Noel) guitars. The paper is shown in its most traditional red, white and blue colour way above but also comes in, what Wallpaper Space describes as poptastic pink, camouflage green, urban grey or liquorice black. All the papers have a matt finish.

The paper costs £55 a roll from the Wallpaper Space website

Atomic doodle

Looking for a specific period look for your home? Bradbury & Bradbury's range of art wallpapers could be worth a look. They've a wide selection of historically inspired wallpapers from which the above 'Atomic Doodle' design is taken. It's obviously a fifties inspired look, one taken from the group of designs they've called 'The Atomic Age'. They also sell other twentieth-century inspired designs under the categories Art Deco, Post-War Era and 'The Mod Generation'.

The papers are hand printed and generally come in a range of colours. Atomic Doodle, for example, comes in taupe and pink as well as the turquoise shown here. This wallpaper costs $72 per roll, but prices vary depending on the design.

Dupenny ’50s Housewives wallpaper

Housewives-full

From Dupenny, the people who brought you the Burlesque wallpaper featured earlier in the year, comes this '50s housewives wallpaper. Much like the previous wallpaper, it's a cheeky look at the subject matter, which they say is inspired by the days of seamed stockings and suspenders. Certainly, ironing or hoovering have never looked so appealing!

It's hand screen-print and, also like the previous paper, it's a design over two panels – you need to order both to get the full design. Each panel costs £90.
