eBay watch: Giant Swatch watch for your wall

Swatch

I don't know a great deal about this, but I suspect that the giant Swatch for your wall pictured here here isn't the most common of items.

Or maybe it is. Either way, it's certainly an attention grabber, perfect for Swatch lovers, fans of 80s design or for anyone looking for some interesting pop art-style design for their home.

According to the seller, this super-sized watch is 2.1m high, with a 30cm diameter face and sold in working order, although 'some of the internal plastic tabs that hold it together have snapped, so it needs to be treated carefully, or glued together'. Even allowing for that, the current price of £19.99 seems very reasonable.

Rolex

A wrist classic gets a slightly modern update – the Rolex x Fragment Design Explorer watch.

Fragment Design has teamed up with Bamford to give this 1953 adventure classic a makeover, notably a splash of colour on that black background. Everything is as you were – a stylish watch for extreme conditions, complete with self-winding movement, water-resistance and the Oysterlock bracelet.

None of which comes cheap – you're looking at around 15,000 Euros.

Komono Parrot 80s-style talking digital watch

Komono

A long name, but a small price secures you the Komono Parrot talking digital watch.

Looking like a refugee from the 1980s, the Komono Parrot offers up that basic digital display, three individual-sounding alarms and as you've probably guessed, the option to hear the time rather than read it with a push of the button.

All of that for just under £25.

1970s TAG Heuer Silverstone chronograph watch reissued

Tag_silverstone

A gem from the archives is back on the market – the TAG Heuer Silverstone chronograph watch.

Specifically from 1974 and returning in February 2010, the watch features (for the technical amongst you) the automatic caliber 11 Chronomatic with micro-rotor by Dubois-Depraz and engraving that highlights the 150th anniversary of the company. But above all, it's got style, lots of it, as well as a timeless appeal.

To celebrate the year of TAG Heuer's birth, 1860 will be produced for an as-yet undisclosed price. We doubt they will be cheap.

Stowa 1940s-style Pilot Watch

Stowa

Stowa was one of the few companies making watches for pilots back in the 1940s and you know what? The German watchmaker is still making them in much the same style, unsurprisingly going by the name of the Stowa Pilot Watch.

Updated internally by the addition of an automatic ETA 2824-2 movement, the watch is faithful to the original design cosmetically, with a sapphire glass convex cover, stainless steel polished frame, a brown leather strap and a dial and hands that use a special phosphorescent paint for viewing in the dark for as many years as you can imagine.

Available online, you can pick up a Stowa Pilot Watch for just over £500.
