New Bauhaus and Beat bag collection coming soon at Cheet London

Hopping on the resurgence of retro influence in designer fashion this year, boutique accessory shop Cheet London bring us their Bauhaus & Beat range.

Hitting the shops in the Autumn, this preview shows us a glimpse of their heavily vintage inspired bags. The orange and black clutch bag is my favourite, though the retro designs are pretty well carried throughout the range. Click on the image for a proper look.

These bags won’t be available until later this year, and prices will range from £79 to £230 in stores across the UK and at the online boutique.

Vintage inspired print dresses by Emilio Pucci

In the 1950s Emilio Pucci began designing clothing which would see Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy among his biggest fans. Now, the fashion label has continued with his themes of bold colours and even more bold prints to make some classic vintage inspired pieces.

Taking geometric prints and a distinctly 70s colour palette, my favourite is the wool jersey dress (right), which costs £640. The designs are available to buy online from Net-a-Porter.

Luxury retro designs with authentic looks aren’t easy to come by, but if you’re looking to invest in a dress or outfit with genuine vintage inspiration then Retro Cuties is definitely worth a look.

Their own brand designs consist of wonderfully tailored dresses, tops and shoes among others. This Marvelous Mint dress is a great example of 40s/50s style and is inspired by pinup designers of the era. Fully lined and made from a cotton/lycra blend for added fit, it’s well made and undeniably good looking.

Michael Jackson Roll Cuff T-shirt

The rumours, scandal and cosmetic surgery of recent years have seen Michael Jackson fall from favour, but let’s gloss over that for the moment and celebrate his former glory with this cute Michael Jackson Roll Cuff T-shirt.

The white t-shirt features a sweet cartoon rendering of the superstar in what looks like his Thriller era (note the sparkly gloves). Admittedly, it could be argued that he was already past his best at this time too, but if you liked his 80s work, then this may be the t-shirt for you.
